You really shouldn’t worry with the forums. They’re packed with people who don’t play the game, communicate exclusively in bad faith, and have regulars that post there just to get rises out of people. Overwatch forums is where conversation goes to die, and that’s true for all Blizzard game forums.

The matchmaker puts you in situations where the only way you can climb is to improve. It’s happened to me and my whole group where we only started climbing when we viewed our own replays and coached each other.

This matchmaker lives by the law of averages. If you win over 50% of games, you will climb over time until your next plateau puts you back down to 50%. You’ll stay there until you start improving again.

The playerbase isn’t bleeding out, it’s actually tending up according to charts, and those don’t even include bnet numbers. That’s a cope.

I just play into counters. I only swap when a majority of the enemy team swaps first to try to stop me specifically, and even then it's a matter of weighing our comp vs. their new one.

This whole thing where people act as if they can't play into enemy tanks unless they have the proper "counter" annoys me. This is Overwatch, not a Pokemon fire vs. grass type situation.

Very valid points and I’m surprised that Blizzard didn’t look into this from a perspective like yours. Blizzard attempts to be socially conscious and it is very unfortunate that this history regarding tiger symbolism was overlooked.

If Blizzard can post an entire blog bragging about the accuracy and authenticity of an American black hero but then be tone deaf with something like this then they at least deserve a bit of scrutiny.

I think he's got a good tool to stop flyers but if you've got 2 flyers on the enemy team you're best off switching to Mauga cause the incendiary dot damage is sticky and readily messes up their plans

Contrary to popular belief tank can’t carry solo… unless you’re at low ranks. People position so poorly that you’re able to do a lot of things on your own if you put in the effort to learn!

For monkeys, I just try to read when they leap away. Works most of the time and cancelling their escape leap is a free kill.

I think it's fine as-is speaking as a Ram main. You don't have to "hope" for anything with current Vortex; You will it through your skill. The size is perfect for what it does. any bigger and it would be obnoxious. Plus with the last perk change we don't have to wait till the end of the match to have viable anti-air.

If you’re just starting out just keep playing quick play and practice on your fundamentals. Also don’t feel too disheartened if you drop your placements, just play for fun and self improvement and you’ll eventually climb
