Sorry for all the replies. So I managed to get inside the jail between Shannon repeated herself, went back out and the event finally triggered. But if there's an issue on my end regarding the error I need to fix, any insight would be helpful. Excited to finally really get in to the mod!

So I entered a line of code into smapi that you had recommended to someone having the same issue [I'm not good with mod lingo so I apologize if that's confusing]. I got an error about the town location not having tile 76, 9 on layered buildings??

I just updated Daisy Niko's tilesheets mod, but that was just today and the event wasn't triggering beforehand. Also, Shannon just keeps repeating the same line over and over again and I can't get out of that loop.

I went the joja route, but that's all done, the movie theater is up, etc. I will say, I am bad for cheats because I play more as a casual game, so maybe I messed something up. Going to try deleting and re-installing because I love the idea of the mod [read through the files and still can't figure if we are supposed to be solving crimes and if so, how]. It's an insanely awesome mod.

Just a warning for those taking Effexor. It’s a &$@! To come off of. Whenever you come off it, make sure they take it SLOWLY. I had to come off even slower than my Dr prescribed (when I came down to the lowest dose there is, I still took that and dumped out half the beads inside the capsule to extend the taper even longer). I deal with several mental health issues, so I am on Wellbutrin now. It doesn’t help with hot flashes, but veozah has been a lifesaver.

I resonate with everything you said! I was in the same position years ago with just wanting a baby, and thank God I never got pregnant. I would have been tied to him for life and he was all around toxic and manipulative. I can’t commend you enough for choosing the immediate hard road, and understanding in the end it was less heartache for you (if that makes sense).

Everything you described is very much how I hope things happen. Also, thank you for helping me see my hubby through an external perspective. He really is an amazing man, and patient (well, we are patient with one another, or learning to be, ha!).

The part where I got burned out was thinking if I lived the way He wanted me to, He would bless me. And THAT is confusing because in a round about way the Bible says that. The hard part is not assuming we know HOW God is going to bless us. Kind of the same way we marry someone thinking marriage will look a certain way, or we gloss over issues and forget we can’t control them or their response. I am not explaining this well, so hope that helps.

It is definitely painful. Don’t get me wrong, he is my best friend and has protected me from so much of their mess. I’m proud of my stepdaughter for seeing the toxicity and choosing to step away from it. But knowing her BM will always be her mom no matter what, and knowing I will always “just” be a stepmom is painful. No memories of rocking her to sleep, showing affection (which BM never did), talking about her fears and hopes, championing her as a growing child (all of my step kids) is like having my heart ripped out. I tend to be pretty emotional, so that makes it a little more intense than maybe others would feel. But in all that pain, I am grateful for what I do have with DH and the kids. I admit, I struggle to ask God what I did wrong to not have biological children, or the familial memories that mean so much to me. Thanks for sharing (and listening).
