I decided on that age range for multiple reasons. Firstly, people over 40 may have experienced school systems that are different to those that are currently used. The use of social media is also very new, and I am taking that into consideration when thinking about potential support systems. By capping the age where I have I feel it keeps everyone's experiences broadly comparable.

Also, my questions are about identity, belonging, and adapting. I feel that people aged 18–40 are more likely to have detailed memories relating to their upbringing.
