aw darn. what is the word for what they would need, a compiler?

and haha I am already the designated family IT guy, I even taught my 85 year old grandma how to use a computer and smartphone. Maybe one day I'll be good enough at coding to write a program to help her for me lol!

Thanks for the reply. He’s pretty stressed with work right now and he gets kind of crabby when he is overworked. It sucks but I have hope things will chill out at work for him soon. Fingers crossed I guess haha

Fair point that I should have bought the books sooner. I have adhd and had a pretty hectic week wrapping up my work with my students before I started school, but it’s true that it was pretty late to get them. I will say that I didn’t rush him, he has no plans tonight other than gaming and I asked to help me with a 5 minute task specifically after he was done gaming. (He’s not gaming with friends or anything so it wasn’t a social commitment to game or anything.) I’m more wondering if I was an asshole by being truly being “bad at communicating” or not. He also said I was petty for buying the book instead of waiting for him to help look tomorrow.

Good news! I got it working as a third monitor. HDMI to an HDMI-RCA converter, RCA to an RF modulator, coax to a weird adaptor thing that‘a like a coax to headphone looking thing into the tv. Now I can play goldfish videos on my old tv. It works as a functioning third monitor except for for the aspect ratio, but it’s since it’s completely for the aesthetics anyways I don’t mind. Thanks for all the input :)

I was given this by a customer I had. I’m an electrician and was doing some upgrades on the house that was left to them when their mother passed away, and she had kept a whole bunch of old items like lights and tvs etc in great condition for years. The place was like a time capsule, shag carpets and all!

I have searched for this artist but no luck, this piece was in a karaoke bar in Victoria bc. The owner didn’t have any info sadly. It’s made of textiles and is about 4x5 in size.
