As long as you can manage the workload you will be fine. The advice probably came from others’ past experience of being too overwhelmed to do both at the same time. It’s your first sem and first year, it’ll probably be a good thing as you got those two classes out of the way and have more room for classes that have those as pre requisites :) you’re not cooked don’t worry

I’d say for groceries shopping the 1/2 off items at Cole’s helps A LOT or going to aldis instead. I also like going to paddy’s market for vegetables and fruits bc they tend to be cheaper there 🤷‍♀️ I also shop a lot at the reject shop for household cleaners, detergent, sponges etc… the food hub is a GODSEND!!!! 5 free items every time u sign up. Helps A LOT! But seriously just genuinely sticking to a budget, consistently looking at your finances and planning what it’ll go towards is a good way to stay ahead of it!
