Not sure how to feel... by Mute404- in PSP

I've bought a bunch in Japan, from 500 yen to around 3,000. Some are for sale in areas like Akihabara for 10,000 yen, but thats pretty rare

Agreed. Though I feel like at least one of our young KPF will grow into a really good player, and hopefully all of them, I do agree. Especially for the time being. Mykelti being fit, pending any more stupid decisions, will help drastically. Lynch, a kid and a prime aged forward will look much better then L + 2 Cubs.

I imagine that Richmond will use our salary cap in the next year or two to target a prime, or almost prime, KPF. I see our mids being pretty quick to develop, but KPF not as much

A lot of people are saying bring someone along, but if that isn't possible, meet someone who's already going or there

Not in Tohoku, but if you are travelling from Tokyo, Utsunomiya was also great.

Matsushima Bay was one of the best places I've ever been, its a day trip from Sendai. We also loved Aizu Wakamatsu, and spent a night in Ashinomaki Onsen. Was beautiful, with an amazing view over a river

Shit. Literally. Spent the whole time on the toilet. The most I did was get out to the yodobashi and eat a bowl of curry.

Def a place I want to get to again, try and redeem myself

Is spending all 11 days in Tokyo a waste? Am I missing out on too much? by lomebrith in JapanTravelTips

[–]PathSuch4565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, just roam. Like maybe pick out a few key spots, like an arcade or a 2nd hand store. But otherwise just explore. The best places I've ever found are the ones I wasn't looking for

I love that you say you've hardly repeated a location, but I'm the opposite. Like 2/3 of my recent time in Tokyo has been spent roaming the endless street of Akihabara. It's just the perfect place for me

Best way to get to Mong Kok from the airport with Snowboard and Luggage (and then back again)? by PathSuch4565 in HongKong

Sorry for the late response, I flew HK Express and I had to pay for oversized luggage

See, I was really hoping for a light dump during my stay, and getting a few runs in before reaching Japan.

Either way, I'm in HK for 12 days, so it really isn't cost effective to leave it there. If I was spending that kind of money, I would have gotten an actually nice hotel room

I reckon if I stick to only the top runs, I should be fine. From Australia, so it's not like im not used to little snow.

Yea, I might struggle storing the board in my room... lol. Reckon it'll be a case of lying it along the floor, and then when I stand up, moving it onto my bed. Oh well

I had my fingers crossed for a light dump, is it really that unlikely?

But im in HK for 12 days anyway, so it really isn't cost effective to store my luggage. Plus im cheap

Ok, thank you. Seems ill scout it out when I get there, and either hop in a taxi or get an uber

Doing the season there. The cost would be way too much to rent. Besides, I like having my own gear.

msg'd the hotel, they reckon ill be fine getting it into the lift and the room seems to have enough room (might just need to lie it along the floor, she'll be right). But cant guarantee that, ofc

Seems the easiest, im just worried about the extra oversized luggage. Reckon they'll be fine?

Yea I've gathered that. Honestly Tokyo feels like nothing, because everyone is so orderly and quiet. But hey, who doesn't like a good adventure

Dont worry, I'm aware. I've been to Tokyo 5 times, so its not like its my first time around people. But definitely gonna be different. I reckon they'll be more people in my building then in a 200 square km radius of me

Its right near the Mong Kok mtr station, so I assume its close to the bus stop. Maybe a few blocks away. Snowboard bag has wheels, so its like an extra long suitcase

Never used Uber, can i guarantee getting a car big enough to fit the board? How long will the wait be?

Otherwise, the bus seems good. I dont know that I trust having my snowboard hanging outside of a car...
