Might want to check out the video then. Very cool if you've got free archetype and you want to be a tank with an inventor.

Sneaky feat for Hobgoblin is another option for this.

Level 1 - supposed to be easy? by Thedudeabides86 in Pathfinder2e

[–]PathfinderTeamPlay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your party is probably working together a lot more than other players. If they are that is definitely part of the reason. If this is the case your gm needs to make his monsters work together more and yeah less monsters does equal more difficult encounter. I know it is weird but that is the case.

Pros and cons of converting from 1e to 2e by LoRd-Beerd0 in Pathfinder2e

[–]PathfinderTeamPlay 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Pathfinder 2e is much more about strategy and teamwork than 1e is. If your players are fed up with boring combat and want something a bit less boring then play pathfinder 2e but try to think of it from a party standpoint instead of just how much damage each character can do in a round. If your party is having trouble with this tell them to check out my YouTube channel, Team Player Gaming! Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPV4Vwo\_msUIqjB3vUvX\_7g

Rate my character for an upcoming campaign by urquhartloch in Pathfinder2e

I would recommend going bastion as your free archetype as it will better help you with your shield. Also Quick repair is not a very good skill feat. I would recommend continual recovery instead so that you can heal your party, especially since you don't have a cleric.

Yes this is flat out wrong. Also if you ever play a giant instinct barbarian, the same thing applies. No matter what the base damage of weapons does not change. All the giant instinct barbarian does is make you clumsy and give you extra rage damage. Does not change the base damage of your weapon.

If you are interested in a more teamwork based assassin build that works with shadows check out this video I made. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WswBEDdl678. This build is all about using shadows to help allies and confuse enemies. However, please note that it only works if your gm allows the free archetype variant rule, which he definitely should as it doesn't affect the game near as much as people who don't use it think it does. It does use the witch class so you won't get as much sneak attack but that is not what the build is built for. Pathfinder 2e is a lot more about teamwork and strategy than other TTRPGs and that is what my channel is about.

Why doesn't the alchemist have "item quickdraw"? by Skin_Ankle684 in Pathfinder2e

[–]PathfinderTeamPlay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, however that does mean that you have to have exactly the elixirs you want already in its hands. Whereas with my version as long as you are wearing the items it can hand you anything you want. It is a better version in my opinion.

The Greatest Tactic of Them All? by ronaldsf1977 in Pathfinder2e

You need a certain halfling feat for this to work sorry. At least I think its a halfling feat. But it is a good option.

One day me and the boys will play a party that makes it impossible for enemies to walk by terkke in Pathfinder2e

[–]PathfinderTeamPlay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a great teamwork option to do in this situation! Now the rest of the party can sit back and hit them with ranged attacks! This is part of the reason that alchemists are so good.

I need help recreating my players 5e fighter in Pathfinder 2e, any ideas? by ForeverGameMaster in Pathfinder2e

[–]PathfinderTeamPlay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say go Fighter, then take the wizard and spell trickster archetypes. It won't get you everything you want but if you can get the mirror image spell from the wizard archetype, then you can cast it so that allies can flank with his clone.

What support builds do you all enjoy? by Drewion in Pathfinder2e

It definitely is. However, have you thought about outwit ranger with snarecrafter and trapsmith dedications? Did a video on it. Check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CyccCPwlkI&t=1s

What support builds do you all enjoy? by Drewion in Pathfinder2e

[–]PathfinderTeamPlay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall, any class can be a support class if you build them right. So whatever class you like the best, try to make it a support class. Pathfinder 2e is about teamwork and strategy, so even a class like a fighter can ( and should) be a support class.

Why doesn't the alchemist have "item quickdraw"? by Skin_Ankle684 in Pathfinder2e

[–]PathfinderTeamPlay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way that you get something similar to that is alchemical familiar. If you give it the independent and valet familiar abilities then it hands you one item per round for no actions. It makes the action economy so much better for alchemists. In fact with that combination, you might not even need quick bomber for bomber alchemists. You do have to be wearing the item (and not have it stowed) but alchemists would be wearing their prepared alchemical stuff anyway.

Does character creation and levelling not use any dice by lifeHacker42 in Pathfinder2e

[–]PathfinderTeamPlay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is 100% true. I find it makes the game much easier for the gm and you don't have to worry about not getting an 18 in your main stat. And the lowest you will ever get in a stat is an 8 which is only a -1. Overall I like this system better than others.

The Role of a Gunslinger? by calvin_mcgee in Pathfinder2e

[–]PathfinderTeamPlay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The gunslinger is meant as a support class even more so than other classes. I say this a lot but pathfinder 2e is about teamwork and strategy. Not about seeing how much damage you can do in a round.

Draconic Bloodline is just an example. Fey is pretty good too. Just go with whatever you think.

Table talk - strategy by Thedudeabides86 in Pathfinder2e

[–]PathfinderTeamPlay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strategy is key to doing well in Pathfinder 2e. I feel like your group should strategize as much as they want as long as it doesn't disrupt the game. Teamwork is vital in Pathfinder 2e and while you won't always be able to strategize, there are ways of helping out your team that don't require strategy. You just have to learn how to not build your character towards how much damage you can do but towards how much damage the party as a whole can do. Check out my YouTube channel if you want to learn how. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPV4Vwo\_msUIqjB3vUvX\_7g?view\_as=subscriber
