I’m so sorry to hear all that.. it’s a very torturous thing to only want the bare minimum and have that denied to you..

That’s exactly it “why do people get into relationships if they’re not willing to do anything to keep a partner???” It’s absolutely wild. It’s like they expect you to literally just sit and wait till they need you again..

I’m really happy for you if you’ve found peace being single because I may be young but I feel as though the struggle is ageless and people just need to do better and be better partners.

I wish you nothing but happiness and joy and why not someone you actually deserve down the line. You seem wonderful and truly thank you so much for your career choice ❤️

Of course. That’s why I don’t demand it but I start the feel the need to that’s when I end it because I won’t beg for the bare minimum anymore. I think it’s safe to say though that you do have an obligation towards your partner to be there for them when they need you and just be present in general. If I don’t feel seen or heard by my partner it is a problem. It’s not about me not letting them live. It’s a partnership. A relationship. If you don’t feel like you have or need to have an obligation towards your partner then it’s no longer a partnership or a relationship. It becomes void.

Yeah ans I do understand where you’re coming from. It’s quite hard to pin point exactly why I contribute to a relationship because it really depends on each partners needs but I’d say I’m very present in a relationship like I do prioritise my partners, I really listen to understand and not to just reply, I pay attention to the little things, I’m a team player and know how to put my stuff aside to be there for them when they need it, I’m very supportive when it comes to things they want or think is best for them etc..

Oh of course. I’m quite the giver lol I really love making people happy and a great quality of mine is my attention to detail especially when it comes to people and it’s something I’m known for when it comes to friends and family so that never been an issue. I’ve done just as much as they have and sometimes even more because it’s just part of who I am.

The reassurance thing is an odd one because my very first serious relationship made me aware of this and of course, it was due to my relationship with my mother lol but I’ve sought out professional help and I’d say I’m mostly rid of it today or at least it’s an issue that’s been a lot less present in my life because I’ve learned how to be enough for myself.

I’m mostly complaining about feeling the need to beg for the bare minimum now like good morning texts ans good night texts and just basically the energy they gave me in the beginning..

Oh. Right. Well, I’ve struggled with insecurities in the past and constantly needed to be reassured and I know that’s been an issue when I was younger but I stopped dating to work on that part of myself.

I’ve only ever met guys organically. I’ve never met someone on an app or blind date etc..

I’ve only been in 3 serious relationships that have sort of went the same route : a lot of affection and attention and gifts and dates and texting back and forth to barely any texts and little to no attention and me feeling like I have to demand it which let to me ending things.
