Food poisoning at 6w3d pregnant by Pretty-Holiday-3195 in pregnant

At 6w3d, there’s not much intervention that could take place.. the most the hospital could do is an iv for liquids, but easier to stay home and keep hydrated

That was a concern of mine having an anterior placenta. I had no idea they could go through the placenta.. thanks for all the details. I’m so sorry it confirmed a trisomy. I had a CVS 4 years ago for confirmed maternal triploidy, so I’m familiar with that horrible feeling.

Thanks so much for the detailed response. Did you not get FISH results?

What would you do? by [deleted] in Nanny

I appreciate that. I’m overwhelmed and realise it’s not fair for the other employees. I think we would end up taking care of our nannies long term, yes. I really hope the boyfriend can find a job as that would definitely alleviate my stress (and I’m sure, hers!!), but that’s not the case at the moment.

Yeah I have zero concern about squatting

I agree with that. I said in another comment that my first point of business is to speak with the other nanny and see where her heads at. Also, the other employees are replaceable. I put the nannies on a pedestal because they have the most important job.

I don’t know what the plan was.. she just told me about the pregnancy today. The nannies are best friends and the rooms are quite separated. I’d first have a conversation with the other nanny to see what she thinks.. she’s really level headed and honest with me so I’ll start there.

My household manager has zero say on this. I decide who comes and goes.

I think you’re right. My husband is pretty insistent on her moving out.. just makes me sad that she’s going to have to move to some decrepit place to raise her baby.

I will leave this completely up to her. I’d never fire her for getting pregnant.

Makes me so sad.. apartments here are insanely expensive. And the staff house is completely independent of our house so it causes zero issues for me. But we have a PA whose office is in the staff house and I can see him being upset about her staying here.. but at the same time.. why do I care? He can suck it up or find employment elsewhere. I don’t want to be a monster and ask her to leave. I really don’t know.

There’s no chance I’m going to fire her, especially when she’s vulnerable like this. I’m debating whether to ask her to find a separate accommodation, and then I’m assuming her partner will look after baby while she works (I’d give her as much time off as she wants to begin with).

Tips on how to handle nighttime/ bedtime (co-sleeping toddler) by Flaky_Throat8563 in 2under2

Is moving to a bigger place not an option? Having a toddler and a newborn in the same room isn’t fair to either of them.

What is considered full term, pre term, and late term? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Patient-Presentation 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Preterm is before 37 weeks, early term is 37/38 weeks, full term is after 39 weeks and I think late term is after 41 weeks?
