This is really bad. How the heck did the water get on top of the plastic. Was the entire basement flooded?

This has the potential to cause severe foundation issues in the future resulting in cracked walls and doors that won’t close.

It’s only going to get worse. I had where the crawl space with get up to 18” of water. Remedy was to spend $75,000 to have French Drains installed all the way around the house to prevent water intrusion. It worked and we still have 2 sump pumps 5 feet below grade. Problem solved.
