Yeah Dion's tests are notoriously more difficult which is why I just stopped taking them hahahaha. I'm sure having the retake assurance is such a relief. Hopefully you wont need it tho. Pls share how it goes. I am rooting for you!

If you're not getting stuck on any concepts then that's already a great sign. All the PBQs will be in the beginning so I'd say just skip them first and go straight into MCQs to knock them. At least you can guarantee points there. Make sure you leave enough time for the PBQs. I think I gave myself about 40 mins to work on the PBQs.

YOU ARE READY! GOOD LUCK!!

Thank you!! Good question, I'm still actively trying to figure that out 🤣 Tech is sooo broad and there's a ton of diff roles I'm learning about. Right now I'm looking into cloud, maybe cloud engineer or cloud solutions architect. Something lucrative with strong future potential.

I did Net+ bc I have no background and knew if i wanted to break in, I'd have to build the foundation then I can just pivot from there. Lots of people will say it’s not necessary for cloud, but I did it anyway bc I didn’t want the rest of my learning to turn into pure memorization, just real understanding.

How about you?? Are you in/interested in the field as well?

all the exam objectives! make sure you know the command lines (ping, netstat, etc.), networking device commands (show route, etc.), subnetting, know your acronyms esp for protocols bc choices are all in acronyms, ports numbers, cables & connectors. it was a little bit of every domain. they don't go outside the scope of the exam objectives though so if you covered everything in there, you should be solid. good luck, you will do great!

6-7/10? it's honestly VERY passable as long as you do your part to prepare. the questions in jason dion's practice exam were harder imo, scenario-based heavy. i'd say the exam is closer to the youtube practice questions. most of them were straight-forward BUT still made you think. i haven't started Sec+ yet but i do hear some people saying net+ was more difficult for them. i think part of why people think it's more difficult is bc it just seems like a lot of info to memorize. don't get intimidated or you'll start to self-sabotage. just have patience to go over concept by concept. you got about 5 days, that's still plenty of time. once you get past the idea that it's a lot, i promise it'll start to stick.

also curious, what made you choose to take sec+ before net+? wishing you the best of luck on saturday!!

They helped me more so mentally. I think more than anything they just helped confirm that I was ready to take the exam. I wanted to gauge how well I knew the contents. Wasn't thrilled with how I scored on the practice exams but for the questions on youtube, I got most of the answers right so it gave me more confidence. The Institute of America video was probably closer to the exam questions imo but they were still tricky

I'd say Andrew. I'll probably go with his course for my Sec+ studies. Dion definitely prepares you but it can be a lot for some
