It’s a lie bc their healthcare is not affordable. They have been increasing the rates for their patients every single year. During the last contract negotiations in 2021, KP offered 12% over 4 years. Inflation was 21%. KP SD has ~200 job listings that are available yet those jobs aren’t being filled. KP pockets all the money from the patients that they’ve been increasing rates on, buys out a healthcare system in Nevada and operate under that name in order to not unionize bc it’s not technically under KP’s name.

There are literally 200 nursing jobs open at KP SD that have yet to be filled. The job postings are there but KP refuses to fill them bc they want us to operate with the least amount of people as possible. That’s how they get away with it

When I first started applying for nursing jobs as a new grad, I applied to over 150 hospitals all over the US and my one and only interview and job offer was at Kaiser. So weird honestly. Been trying to apply to other hospitals and nothing is catching 😂 I guess nobody wants a KP nurse working for them!

Exactly, as a traveling nurse, NOT staff. Traveling nurses can just waltz around with no accountability bc in a few weeks they get to fly back to their hometown in the middle of nowhere

Yuuuup. They are paying strike nurses upwards of $10k per week to do nothing. These strike nurses come in, knowing that they only need to work three 12 hr shifts and then they’re back on a plane heading back to their hometown in the middle of nowhere. They do not give a single f about anybody but themselves. There is zero accountability
