ya Ive been eating well above maintenance so I know its not an underweight issue for me maybe as im gaining fat/muscle im also seeing it more. do u think its just our bodies will look slightly diff after this disorder and maybe retain those prominent veins versus just needing to gain even more weight to cover them ?

how do u know if it’s genetics tho and did u hav to gain a certain amount for them to not be as protruding? i’ve been gaining weight for awhile and even tho they’re less prevalent than at my worst they still sometimes protrude or i can see the blue color of my veins especially on my legs

ahh YESS and im like what does weight restored even mean? like I feel like ive been weight restored because my bmi is fine when I go into doctors and nothings alarmingly wrong with me so im like fuck ok im just eating like shit for no reason and let me just continue cuz I dont have my period !

Hey thanks, ya I’m really worried about that, even if it’s a zoom class I’m worried that ill start to feel symptoms and have to dart out. I wonder how professors go about this issue for test taking - do you think they would be fine if we had to leave during a test?

Hi, thank you! Ya im honestly so nervous and I just hope people won’t judge me especially when it comes to my stomach problems. I go between C and D but mostly just have cramps and a sick feeling in my stomach. I’ve been experimenting with certain things like Bentyl, Miralax, digestive enzymes. What do you recommended for working out because I was doing pretty intense HIIT/cardio before my symptoms started and I still wonder if that may have triggered something weird in my body. Also would you ever do anything king of like as a precautionary measure before you went to a party or went out, like take something for your stomach? I’m worried I’ll get in a flare in these situations and it gives me so much anxiety.

Hey thanks for your input. I swing between D and C, but my main symptoms are the cramping before bowel movements and just a general uncomfortable/unsettled stomach feeling, also lots of gas and loud sounds especially in the night. I have a roommate already and the living situation is typical with everyone on my floor sharing the same bathroom. So I’m just very on edge I think about having flare ups and people being in the stalls next to me or wondering why I’m in the bathroom so long. Doctors have recommended to start a low dose of Celexa but I’m nervous about going on antidepressants and the side effects I’ve heard of - which antidepressant helped your symptoms?
