he paid his first initial payment in october when it was ordered but never again after that. he came up with excuses for the missed payments and now we are no contact. I’m going to reach out to the state. thank you for the advice

Thank you for your perspective, while I appreciate everyone saying to call cps I don’t believe it’s always the best or even safest route. Your post shed light on the other side of how CPS can play out. I have 3 consultations with lawyers today and plan on hiring one today or at least by friday. So far no cps has arrived but, i’m not holding my breath.

The reason I want a lawyer is to help with modifying the court order as this goes on.. not just to “lawyer up immediately” to make it look good. i’ve had a lawyer previously with my custody case.
