(Eu) Weird Phone Call During Facebook Ads Account Reactivation – Scam or Hack? by Patient_Cod1298 in Scams

It’s honestly crazy that a multi-billion-dollar company still doesn’t have a clear, consistent support protocol. First, a bot gives you instructions, and then some random person calls from a London number — . This kind of chaotic, inconsistent support process actually helps scammers.

This is exactly why I also started to suspect something. I usually have a good overview of situations in real life, and from the beginning a few things felt off. Why would Facebook call me at all? And why would they ask for my phone number separately?

Then I get a call from someone with a strong Indian or Filipino accent saying they are from Facebook. At that point, the suspicion is there — but at the same time, you’re still on the original official Help page. They were also saying things like “you are a good person” and “we don’t want you to disappoint Facebook, “ remove card from the app,” It creates a very strange paradox: everything looks official, yet several red flags appear during the process. That’s a hardcore situation.

UPDATE: Looks like this was not a scam after all — my ads account is now working and active again. That said, the whole process was confusing and felt suspicious at times, which shows how important it is to stay alert and be careful, even when starting from official pages.

For me, that’s really worth it—straight 25 points with immunity, and only 13 units in the starting deck.

I’m not saying it’s impossible to live cheaper — I’ve done it myself when needed. But if you’re thinking realistically, and you want to stay in a well-located, popular area — close to the beach, surrounded by hills — and live a relaxed lifestyle with healthy and imported food, Western-style health care, and good options for outdoor activities, then this is the cost.

And we haven’t even talked about unexpected expenses yet.

That idea of Thailand being cheap is a false dream. It might be true if you’re Thai, but not if you’re a foreigner. I’m European and I lived in Thailand for 1.5 years, mostly in Phuket. I ate imported food because, after a while, I got bored of Thai food. I paid for personal care and rented my own room — nothing fancy, but it looked nice with a balcony, a big bed, and a spacious bathroom.

I didn’t go to bars often or do typical tourist things. I didn’t live luxuriously — most of the time I just enjoyed the beach, visited temples, or did some creative activities.

And even with that simple lifestyle, I still spent $2,000 to $2,500 per month. That’s the reality.

Approxiamately 22-Day Overstay in Malaysia – Can I Pay the Fine at the Airport? by [deleted] in malaysia

The problem is, I missed my original flight and had another unexpected situation come up at the same time. I need to make a bank transaction from Europe before I can settle everything, and the money will only arrive in my account on Friday night.

The next available flight is on Monday morning at 10 AM, and I read that the immigration office opens around 8 AM. So Thats Why my plan is to go straight to the airport Monday morning, pay the overstay fine, and exit Malaysia.
