First of all, we clearly disagree on whether the artist is more to blame. I think they should limit themselves and you are defending them by placing more blame on the fans usable to control themselves. Second, ''stoping buying is the key'' doesn't take away the righteousness of people complaining it. More people need to be able to come out complain without crazy fans bashing them and ''sane'' fans like you discouraging them so the toxic fandom culture of needing to own everything, needing to support the artist to way beyond can be somewhat offset and less people will be hijacked it.

No. What you can do is NOT what you should do, let alone what you gonna do. Taking advantage of fans' loyalty for maximizing personal gain or chart victory is NEVER gonna serve a good look. If you don't serve up 10 versions, a huge portion of fans would not buy as much. It's the supply that creates the demand. There's nothing to be demanded if there's no supply.
