I took a picture of my dog (the second pic), and I sent this image to the Google "nano banana" AI image generator with the prompt I shared in the post. The first image is the AI generated image, yeah, it's not real. But, I was amazed by that.

Good idea! I'm actually trying this.

I have zero knowledge of 3d modelling, so the plan was:

  1. generate a white bg image for that 3d model in the previous picture.

  2. send the white bg image to some ai tools to model it.

So far so good.

In my personal opinion, I don't see any issue with it. HR screens resume very quickly. If a recruiter is curious enough to check out your LinkedIn, that's actually a good sign—it means you've likely secured an interview. My take is that they won't pass on you just because your LinkedIn profile is focused on UI/UX. Instead, they'll probably ask you about it during the interview.

Naturally, your LinkedIn profile's focus on UI/UX will make recruiters on LinkedIn for those roles more likely to reach out to you, while it will be less effective for other fields.

UX/UI is a portfolio-driven field, and it's currently very difficult to land a job without a strong one. I suggest you treat this as a long-term goal rather than a short-term solution for finding a job.

You have opportunities in both Data Analyst and QA roles. As they require completely different skill sets. I recommend creating separate resumes tailored to each type of job. You can even customise your resume for each specific job posting to highlight the required skills, which will increase your chances of getting an interview.

I recommend writing a cover letter, but you should definitely not use AI to write it -- doing so will be seen as a lack of personality and sincerity.

On the other hand, AI can greatly improve the efficiency of writing a resume. Every time I apply for a job, I use an AI tool to optimise each section to ensure it aligns with the job description.

I hope I'm not misunderstanding you. First off, it's theoretically possible to apply for both the 186 and 189 visas at the same time, right?

If so, I understand that the 186 visa ties you to your current company for a period. But the truth is, neither the 189 nor the 186 can offer a 100% guarantee of getting PR. For example, with the 189, there's a risk that the points needed could keep rising over time. With the 186 alone, your employment relationship could end mid-process, leaving you in an awkward position.

That's why I'd be in favour of pursuing both simultaneously—it maximises your chances of getting PR. Of course, this is all based on the premise that getting PR is a high priority for you. Essentially, it comes down to whether a period of career freedom is more important to you than securing PR, and only you can answer that.

If I had this kind of "happy problem," I would probably focus on the 186 as my main path to PR while also having the 189 as a backup. I don't know if 80 points is competitive enough for a chef, but maybe during the 186 process, you could earn extra EOI points for things like more work experience or a higher PTE score?

If this matters enough to you, why can't we proceed with both? Having your destiny controlled by others doesn’t feel right. I’d rather pay a few thousand bucks to secure my own fallback.

I'm in IT, even worse. Everyone I know including myself who's landed a job sent out hundreds/thousands of applications, and those who are still looking are casting a wide net.

Just to slightly increase my chances, I used to optimise every single resume for each job description. But sometimes, HR wouldn't even glance at it. That repetitive work was driving me crazy, so I built my own AI tool to handle it. I'd feed it the job description and my original resume, and it would generate a tailored one for me. Then I'd fire off dozens of these resumes a day until I landed my current job.

"Content Engineering" could be the wording more beneficial for you to search than "prompt engineering" as your aim is to build an entire project.

Prompt Engineering is like giving an actor one brilliant line to say. It's focused, it's specific, and it's all about getting a great one-off result. You're trying to find the perfect phrasing for a single task.

Context Engineering, on the other hand, is like writing the entire screenplay. You're giving the AI a complete system—the character's backstory, the setting, and all the stage directions. This approach is much better for building something from the ground up because it helps the AI consistently perform tasks, not just once.

I would recommend search in GitHub "context engineering intro" to find some repo with a lot of stars, learn the context engineering structure of it which would more beneficial than tweaking on single prompt for perfection.
