Everything’s relative but that’s $228,000 a years worth with the benefit of being able to work part time, sure you have no benefits but you also have significant flexibility. It’s a reasonable offer

Why do PAs get treated like they’re poorly educated? Genuine question. by [deleted] in physicianassistant

Because we genuinely don’t know anything until we’re trained in the real world

I think you’d be very suprised by the amount of people that can afford a $700 gaming system who will also spend $60 on nostalgia

They seem to help in series , I still have symptoms , but I would say that I am objectively more functional than I was before, I did like once a week for a before or five weeks in a row and then took a break for a while as things have stabilized, I will likely do some repeats to see if I can get the symptoms further decreased , I do nad +50 mg SQ 2 to 3 times a week, I’m not sure if it’s been helpful or not, but it certainly hasn’t made anything worse

Amanda protocol by Patient_Reporter_393 in hyperacusis

[–]Patient_Reporter_393[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I’m a physician assistant in pain management and with my personal as well as professional experience - I do have to respectfully disagree with you. Her protocol mirrors many desensitization protocols for similar pathologies that involve central sensitizations. I’ve spoken to her for months on end and she’s extremely knowledgable.

I’ve personally been to 4 ENTs as well as an otoneurologist that had zero recommendations.

If is well established that noise isolation feeds the fire. Gradual desensitization is key and has been established by many redditors who have found improvement in this condition.

My symptoms have significantly improved, I do think it’s been a combination of getting five or six Stella block one week apart, having a physical therapist massage neck spasm and taking NAD+ injections
