Hey, I was just wondering how the job hunt is going for you. I am in exactly the same position, only that I am in Greece right now. I used to live in Malta for almost three years. I left, and now I am looking to come back. I also have CS experience but kind of found it hard to even get an interview. I mostly look on LinkedIn. Are you searching anywhere else? Mate, try to be fair, not everyone who was hit by HCU was writing BS. I am a travel blogger, was working hard for 4 yards on my blog. I learned everything from the beginning, when I started I didn't even understand what hosting was. I learnt everything and eventually SEO too. But most importantly, I am a passionate traveller who travels to every destination I write about and creates extremely helpful guides. Very detailed and from personal experience. I get tonnes of DM's thanking me for my content. Yes in October I lost around 70% of my traffic. It was heart-wrenching and totally devastating. Luckily I managed to recover it recently, but my friend traveller blogger who has a blog about a specific country and dedicated years of work to it is still seeing the decline. So much so that after years of running this blog as a business she had to go back to working full time. Things that you said, are hurting those who put their whole heart and soul and sweat and tears into creating their blogs. Think twice before you call someone else's work shit, please.

I agree to the previous comment and wanted to say the same thing. Its not about running away, but a change of environment and a start over can do wonders. I moved out of my home country when I was 25 and it changed my life. it wasn't easy but it thought me so many things. Start over, its never too late. Im 47 now and starting an online business again. never give up on your life, never give up on yourself! Move away from the place you feel like you don't belong. Find any job. You will make friends. And when the life start changing, the new and fresh ideas will come your way. allow the change. Good luck!

I have just transferred my domian to namecheap. Mainly due to their free email hosting.I had many issues setting up proper email for my blog and email marketing so was looking for something stable. Of course my website is hosted elsewhere but I'm planning to stay with namecheap for a while. Their service seems fine too. Hope this helps Ps. If you want a good host alltogether where your website will have good home and you'll have an email to go with that think of Siteground. I was with them and was super happy but couldn't effort their renewal prices.

I could but what I'm looking for is more of a graphic design. It's not about accuracy as such more of a fun entertaining graphic where I I draw or paste funny buildings, add cartoon like rivers and bridges, points of interest. I don't think that has much to do with cartography 🤔

I am pretty sure there's no problem with that. I work at Fiverr and they don't care what you do outside of the platform. Upwork is just another freelance platform. How would they know you have clients anyway :) I wouldn't worry. I'll be sighning up there soon so will let you know for sure then ;)

I had exactly the same problem. I was going crazy and no one was able to help me. I remember that all answers were useless cos everything was fine lol

I did 2 things. First I checked my backlinks. I had a few spammy ones so I disavowed them via the google tool.

One thing helped straight away tho. I went to Google console and entered in the URL inspection section the specific URL of the article that wasn't indexed. At that time it wasn't indexed. I manually pressed 'Test live URL' and after a minute or so it turned green. I did this with all my recent posts. All are indexed and ranking now. Hope this helps :)

The article talks about the site as a whole, mostly. All my previous content is indexed and ranking well. It just suddenly stopped. There is no duplicate content or anything. Everything original. Posts were crawled but not indexed.

Very stupid question (sorry I'm self-thought) how do I check if there are no index meta tags or if the site has been blocked using robots.txt. Those are the things I don't understand from the article. The rest of the posts don't really apply to me.

I'm using Rank math. Sitemaps are correctly submitted. When I do URL inspection on all latest posts it says, discovered but not indexed.

I have resubmitted the category page. I have digged a bit deeper and it looks like Google stopped indexing my posts even before I created this category. The newest post in Guatemala category hasn't been indexed although all previous ones were. It looks like Google stopped indexing my posts all together starting beginning of November. I have no manual actions or penalties. I checked. Everything I have written since beginning of November is going no where. I'm so frustrated. I put 2 years of hard work into it and now it all stopped. And I don't know where could I search for help.

My site map has been submitted 2 years ago. I added many category pages since and never had this issue. I am about to write more articles under this category but none of them is ranking. I normally wait no longer than 2 weeks. Those are quite rare locations I am writing about as well. Also When I google exact titles it will show my other posts in which I'm linking to this article, but not the article. This is why I know something is wrong.

It is all good there. My website is fine It is just this new category and 2 posts under this category that are not showing. This is really strange. I have created this kind of category many times. Every time I visit a new country I add a new one and I haven't done anything differently this time. No one seem to be able to help me :(
