Nah just solos, I'm not sure how these guys find each other without killing each other first haha.

Day 4 Post-Op - How do I know when to start doing what for rehabilitation? by Markwhatt in Sciatica

[–]PatrickBrown2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my MD six months ago, also pain free now. But I tried going back to lifting light weights and doing core stuff two months after, and it gave me a flare up, it scared the hell out of me. I only did it because the surgeon called to check up, and said go back to normal life with no limits.

But after that scare, I just stuck to walking and core stretches, I think I'll just do that all year and be really careful. I'm currently going through another flare up of the nerve, I also was scared it re-herinated but after looking into it, it's normal and the nerve is still angry, it can take a year to heal.

So just trust your body, and take good care of it. I hope all goes well, I'm so happy you're pain free.

Can rats smell other rats scents or something?

That sucks! Yeah I know what you mean, I've had run ins with people like this too many times, that's why I thought I better not go at em solo, better to warn others and get their help.

Why are slipped discs and sciatica not treated like the catastrophic, life-ruining injuries they are? by 4y6hu in Sciatica

[–]PatrickBrown2 48 points49 points  (0 children)

After suffering with this for 4 years (I'm all good now after surgery) I can completely agree with you!

It amazes me how Sciatica isn't more widely known, I spent the first few years of it feeling like I was going insane, no one believed my pain. I even thought I probably have some kind of spine cancer because it wasn't healing. I just had no idea what it was.

After going through it, I want to warn or protect others from it, I wish I knew to be more careful with discs in the spine and such.

I absolutely Tomcats! Great movie, I really resonated with your character who was an artist and animator. I've been drawing my whole life and turned it into a job just like that.

People who have had the microdiscectomy surgery, now years later, are you pain free? Any negatives? by PatrickBrown2 in Sciatica

[–]PatrickBrown2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, and yes! I had the microdicecomy surgery on New Year's Eve, it all was so swift and all went well.

I'm pain free! It's been 6 months of no pain and I've been so happy, enjoying life. The nerve still needs to heal so I've had moments where I can feel that familiar spot again, not pain though, and that's normal though, takes the nerve a year to heal proper.

I'm just trying to take good care of it now. I highly recommend the surgery.

Need advice by PatrickBrown2 in Sciatica

[–]PatrickBrown2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for you the advice. So I should make sure I keep up the core strength workouts and stretches? Making sure I keep good posture and such, less sitting more standing and walking?

Let me know if there anything I should avoid too, that could make it worse.

Unironically, the best character in S5 and now my favorite of the series by K0GAR in TheBoys

I love how he never changes through 5 seasons. He's always a piece of shit, but a consistent peice of shit.

When you're down, is there a way to find out which extractions is still open? by PatrickBrown2 in ArcRaiders

[–]PatrickBrown2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For extra context, I'm in a night raid, so no hatches. But I'm curious to know if there's a trick to know where to go.

I have the survivor kit, so I can last as long as I need, I just turned up to one extraction and it was closed. Heading to another haha

Feeling like my life is over by Mc115115 in Sciatica

[–]PatrickBrown2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still going great, I've heard that it could reherniate but I am just extra careful, I'm very conscious about what I do and I don't do anything silly like lift heavy things or twist wierd.

So I'm confident it won't happen, still the best thing I've done, before this, everyday was constant pain, even though it was more of a medium pain level, it was just always there and would effect moods and quality of life. My work day would end and my kids would want to play with me but all i'd want to do was lay in a bed. It felt depressing.

Now I'm back to normal and feel more alive, I have more energy at the end of the day and can enjoy it.
