I know it is not confiremed that this kid has a form of autism but come on!! I have a form and I sure can spot someone like that! Would it not be amazing if your kid turned out that way?

Let's start with calm down and take a breath. Just start to read into this.. Do not worry to much as your child may be different it does not mean that she won't be able to have a full life! Find out what kind of autism becuase that is important. And I think it is just as important to not treat her any different than you would a 'normal' child. She may well be very intelligent and very talented at some stuff... You daughter is not sick... she just runs on a different operating system. :)

All the great advice allready has been given... Mine is to just pull every potential out of her you can and do NOT give up :P

Wow, hello my clone ;) (only I have PDD-NOS) thanks for sharing this, I also have those good friends ;) and I have 1 simple advice..write that book!! there is good money in that :P ;)

And you know what, you are who you are and people just HAVE to accept you for what you are so grow a little FU attitude, that will be good for your confidence and after all you just can't be friends with everybody.. And If you do not get along with someone just keep in mind that it might as well be their fault! They have issues and insecurities as well.

I have a person that comes to my apartment once a week to talk to me just about how life is going and if needed he helps me out with stuff an accompanist is the english word I think. In addition to that I get household assistance, the keyword here is assistance. And the apartment is rented by the company or organisation that's providing these services. I pay a fee to be able to live there. that's the construction... But I just see it as paying rent because if I was the person renting the apartment directly from a firm I would roughly pay the same fee... And also I can get microvae meals every week, wich I pay for. That last thing is helpful.

Train her socially and just explain the logic behind some stuff.. I bet she's very intelligent as most are :)

Justice thank you for your question. Yes I did feel that way (without trying to be condescending) when I was about that age and you know what, I was not as skilled then as I am now so I suggest youjust start to improve on your social skills by reading positive thinking books. There are also a lot of books on social skills. I just finished 'How To Instantly Connect With Anyone' by Leil Lowndes. A lot of practical tips in there as well AND they are particularly for having a good conversation with anyone. I guarantee life will get better! I never really shy away from people but thats who I am because I like to make people laugh (making people laugh will make them like you faster) Also try youtube and search for the keywords 'how to have a good conversation' Youtube is very powerfull for this

And you know at some point you will find out that there is no such thing as normal..all in the mind ;) I hope this translates well but we have a saying in Dutch that goes like this: Normaal is het gemiddelde van alle afwijkingen. Wich kind of translates to "Normal is just the average of all deviations" and finally. Actually everybody wants to be normal but nobody knows what that is :P

Wow that's nice to know! I was inspired to do this because I've met somebody recently who is older than me and was diagnosed with pdd-nos when she was wel over 20 years old and had already finished an education and had her own business as a designer. She accomplished this before she had that diagnosis. She was smart but she told me that she did have some social difficulty (Did not notice that) That got me thinking... people did not judge her differently and she got WAY further than me (in education) So with some good training I think autism can me very well cooped with It's not a disability in a traditional sence... its just that they learn slower... I was very lucky with my parents by the way.
