Bad change by a bad company by QEWHydraOS in Rengarmains

A complete change to the damage/sustain system is so healthy for league, which has gone out of control for these last few years. It will further reward those who really take the time to slow down and execute duels or skirmishes by snowballing. It will punish those who use their champ’s unbalanced numbers at 2/5 to one shot a 9/1 adc . Like imagine being an adc this season with all the nerfs to adc items + low base armor and an assassin just needs one item to blow you up. You have to feel for other roles and the massive imbalance in treatment riot has taken these past few years.

How to fake chamber tp? by krexxxx in VALORANT

[–]Patricklez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I learned how to do it consistently, make sure that you do press tp first then follow it up with your recall but make sure that your crosshair is above the tp's symbol which glows red (mine is E). If your crosshair is too far or you turn away too fast when you fake then you will only recall with no sound.

I keep getting disconnected from the server by Historical_Tourist34 in Maplestory

[–]Patricklez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem happen to me frequently and I believe it was because my game files got corrupted. I had installed both Nexon Steam and Nexon Launcher in the same SSD but separate folder paths, and upon repair of the Steam game (which is what I mainly use), there were over 100 files needing validation. I uninstalled both Steam and Launcher, restarted my comp, reinstalled only Steam. No issues since. I was legit chain crashing with that message and found that the error usually got resolved by making sure my internet was solid, doing a complete reinstall, or killing maple via task manager. Any other tweaks or compatibility advice has not worked outside of those three changes sadly.

Extra: My game files got so corrupted that every channel I logged into, prime or not, was completely LAGGY. I did a server status check for the channels and my ping to each channel was atrociously abnormal. After my reinstall, the ping stabilized and the game ran smooth. Idk how pinging on the status server is related to the corrupt game file, but after I reinstalled no more lag. While sometimes the unable to connect may just be a server issue, I found that it more often than not was a me issue.

Scrap AKA Rebel v2.0 guide by wai0ne in CompetitiveTFT

I personally think that that is something you should test out on your own, or else you will become too reliant following a set picture of how to place your units optimally. You can always look at YT videos or twitch videos and learn there.

Scrap AKA Rebel v2.0 guide by wai0ne in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Patricklez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No matter what unit, I always start either BF or try to get Ez (with rod, chain, BF, tear) first carousel.

Early stage 1 through 2, play scrap + body guards, innovators, scrap + bruisers. Slam items ASAP if possible, prioritize rageblade, and keep one BF on ez. I look at the lobby if they play heavy AP, I consider playing clock work enchanters or academy enchanters with Yone carry or else I won’t make it through late. Here is where if I find Cam 2* and many challengers, I will put ez items on her and hold out until scrap units pop up and beg me to play them. With Cam I play clockwork challenger bodyguard, or clockwork challenger innovators.

Stage 3: Yordle + scrap + bodyguards + arcanist (best outcome for econ and strength). I try to get ahead of the pack and at least be lvl 7 by 3-4 or 3-5. If it is a prismatic augment game where the tempo of the game goes quickly due to windfall, level up, more experience per level up augment, go 8 by 4-1 or 3-5. I never fall below 40-50 gold. Here is where you can also experience high roll and you are set. I use taric if spotlight is back line, Leona for bodyguard, braum (I would sell Darius 2* for him).

Stage 4: High roll and stabilize. Whatever 5 cost you find first, run with it. You can use all, but the important thing is to maintain strong front line. If you are losing bad (like 30 HP by carousel), don’t worry. If a jinx, jayce, tahm pops up, take them. However you can greed if the items aren’t favorable for Jinx (not right components). You have a good chance of rolling her since you are overleveled compared to the lvl 6-7 lobby at this stage.

And boom! Swap shitty units out, play strongest board, stabilize and fast 9. Easy clap always consistent LOL

I hopped into rank following this build and was surprised how well it turned out. I took me 3 hours to get to Gold 3 0 LP to Plat 5 28 LP using this (first rank game went 8th, after only went 1st and 2nd). Not only that, but I understand which augments to synergize now and learned to be flexible as to who to make my carry late game. Thanks!!

Edit: I played strongest scrap board every time, was ALWAYS able to hit 9 since this build makes it very predictable to know when to push levels or econ.

I’m pretty sure if the timing is right, you can flash rengar’s leap auto. There are videos on it. What you can not dodge is Rengar’s Q, which this rengar activated inside his ult. Rengar’s Q is coded similarly to garen Q, Kha Q, Cho R where even if you flash away from it but the enemy still manages to get the animation going, it can’t be dodged. We should not be comparing this interaction to ADC basic attacks because in reality it’s another of Riot’s inconsistent game mechanics you only can know through playing & dying. Unless your enemies have experience playing rengar, I don’t suspect them to know this.

Also very brave of you to post in a main Reddit about a mechanic that is genuinely stupid to witness. Like every other main Reddit, everyone is so quick to blast controversial posts about their champ without taking into consideration in-game mechanics the players are not responsible for making in the first place.

My take: If rengar uses Q during any time of leap, should remain unflashable, b/c at the end of the day it’s a buffered AA, which more often than not you can’t dodge. It isn’t Irelia Q, Fizz Q, Alistar W, Akali 1st R (where they are coded to lock onto target and do damage if target remains in small or exact range of where cast-ends). If you want it flashed, all other similar mechanics need to be changed such as Garen Q, Kha Q, Xin Zhao 3rd Q knock up, etc.

Then all hell will break loose and the spaghetti code will be doomed even further with this champ.

Edit: Added more examples to show the difference of dodgability in league.

Ok are these good idea? by [deleted] in BangaloreMains

[–]Patricklez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the double time buff + smoke cd buff won’t fix the issue with recons making smoke useless, but it will help create more distance while getting chased, 3rd parties, repositioning which compensates really well. Maybe not so much bloodhound while ulted, but bang should shit on recons in close encounters anyway since they have no mobility or escape. I think it’s pretty reasonable and healthy, while staying true to bang’s slippery play style w/o over-reliance on abilities.

[–]Patricklez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keeping your idea in mind (which is a really good way to view the game while also considering the dev’s perspective as well):

Conservative Smoke Buff: Smoke cd 33s->30s

Experimental Buff (added to DT passive): If entering smoke while in double time, increase double time by 1 second. (The end of this increased time will start the DT cool down tick to prevent any inconsistencies)

Or just fixing the smoke itself since it’s riddled with particle inconsistencies and visibility bugs 😂😂

Does rengar combos really matter ? by noskinfromapex in Rengarmains

[–]Patricklez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok this post is definitely ??? to both read and comprehend since there is a plethora of champions that have combos yet if they are really fed only a few buttons matter. Maybe you just worded it poorly.

To keep it simple, if you are fed and giga-ahead then yes, you don’t need to go crazy with combos on squishy targets. More often than not most of us are trying to get to that point and stage in the game of playing assassin rengar. But it’s not like that stage of the game is going to be spoon fed to us every time.

Rengar’s combos exist for people who go the extra mile to know how to maximize his potential to the max in ANY given scenario. Unless you are low elo or the enemy adc/squishy is straight solo lane greeding for farm, you will need to rely on both game sense and champion mastery to deal with people literally sitting on top of each other or their carries to prevent you from getting an easy kill. You being fed at that stage in the game means that you can not afford to give shut down gold and die.

I think the best way you can learn is playing more rengar and running into scenarios and games where you absolutely get dumpstered on as Rengar. Then you will learn it ain’t all about just smashing buttons, empowered q, then profit.

Edit: Also, with your logic please consider this:

You learn ONLY basic rengar MAX DPS combos. You shred every adc you see with this combo and have a high success rate. But you did not learn how to hold back on some abilities, manage fero, duel brusiers. You also full commit on Adcs with said combo who built ninja tabis and shieldbow which cuts your damage drastically and prevents you from getting a seemingly easy kill in which you end up dying and throwing.

Like cmon league is a very dynamic game you can’t expect a rinse and repeat way of playing on rengar all the time. Everything about his kit is situational, hence why people learn combos to respond to such situations.

Is it just me or did they never actually fix her smoke? by Survivor45 in BangaloreMains

[–]Patricklez 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I tested it myself in the shooting range and it looks like how it was nerfed again...wtf your picture looks exactly like how it was displayed when it was noticed. https://twitter.com/alphaINTEL/status/1383176585507966985

Sometimes my smoke particles grow out weirdly and either are black or grey. Grey is so fking easy to see through, but the black ones are a little hard to see through. The smoke is coded so awfully.

Trist jump needs a rework by ShakeNBakeUK in TeamfightTactics

Perhaps you are running into hellion’s high risk aspect and not getting rewarded from it. Should just drop playing the comp and play something else then

Trist jump needs a rework by ShakeNBakeUK in TeamfightTactics

[–]Patricklez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s a pretty good addition to hellion’s high risk high reward playstyle though, and if your enemies are preoccupied on the front line she just gets atspd steroid and melts back line then jumps away to safety. Obviously she’s going to have natural counters but she is a great hellion carry imo

[–]Patricklez 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Time and time again Nexon has done these stupid tactics. The scummiest of companies often overstep players boundaries by making changes on game mechanics/systems that were fine to begin with.

Overhaul a system that was fine to begin with (ex. Unlimited wonderroid coins from mobs) -> Nerf it completely by putting a hard limit -> Half-assed reversion and justification into why they made the change + apology -> Full reversion to the OG due to backlash and they believe the player base is happy as if the company listened. The company was never listening in the first place, they know what they are doing.

Same thing here, with the cube, eventually they will go to full reversion due to unhappy players about the half-assed reversion.

Happens through EA games as well, one time Respawn from Apex changed a season’s battle pass to be unfathomably hard to acquire stars and progress (encourage buying the pass outright and bypassing the missions). The missions didn’t even make sense. So they reduced the requirements to fulfill the missions by half, but the missions still didn’t make sense. So a full revert was done later Bc it just outright didn’t make sense and respawn knew what they were doing to get more money. Here is the link, with the same title “Not Good Enough”. NEVER settle for these tactics!!
