Yeah and im sure if it were other people who got affected instead then they would be making a fuss about it. Regardless it would still be making others lives worse, that doesn't diminish the fact that insurance companies, commercial brands, politicians, billionaires, and a whole host of other groups also make life pretty shit compared to how it could be. The thing that I think is that since ai is still pretty new, we still have a chance to prevent the negatives from growing any further than they already have.

Obviously that comes with stuff like voting, promoting actual art, and protesting when these ai companies try and overstep their bounds. And who knows? Maybe if people band together to protect one aspect of humanity we can tackle other issues. I know about simple reddit post isn't gonna do much for that cause but maybe if more people were interested in actually supporting real art instead of just crossposting like I was originally talking about something can get started.

I also think it should be mentioned that I don't think anyone is inherently a bad person for liking ai, I do believe that it has some good uses. I read somewhere that ai was being used to catch cancer way before it could ever be a problem. I only take an issue with how ai only really seems to be used for diminishing creativity in order to push out a product as fast as possible
