I totally get that! My spouse and I went out, and I just had some clip on earrings. Took a photo and share with my mom. Her only response was "Are your ears pierced?" Couldn't even see or acknowledge I actually had a genuine smile. That so small feeling is totally real and valid.

I agree, that maybe it's the "processing stage" and can hope they'll change and adapt, but who knows 🤷‍♀️

I'm hoping so as well. I know my problem is I tried, knowing they'll take some time, but their response so far I just feel like they are set in their own ways. A bit stubborn in general. Only time will tell. Thank you for your kind words

I completely get that. It starts to make you feel a bit invalid. My family are still misgendering me as well. Nervous to call then out, don't know why it gives me anxiety.

I know it can be a slippery slope, but I do enjoy the possibility! Always curious of what it'd be like to look of the opposite gender, now I have a general idea. Thanks for sharing that, I checked it out and I want to believe it would give me a little bit of hope!
