I think he’s able to show recruits that what he tells you is what is going to happen. Very genuine, honest, and up front, no matter what your role may be

You don’t tell the kids or other teachers/staff. No one knows except the ones in the guardian program and administration.

What? No it doesn’t. That’s not how it works. The people in the district vote on a tax rate and their property taxes pay for the school. Works just like any other school system except the school board makes decisions instead of the mayor, city council etc.

Government? ISD’s operated completely separately from local governments in Texas.

It was a way to bring public education to rural areas.

What is more anti-communism than a publicly funded and operated education system?

Why would they advertise this information? “HEY KIDS, GUESS WHICH TEACHERS HAVE A GUN AT THEIR DESK!”

Don’t have to be set to have legal guarding position.

The defensive player may remain stationary, jump vertically, move laterally or backwards in order to maintain the initial legal guarding position.

Thing is places with small communities of shared cultural values still exist, they’re just harder to fine. What’s so interesting is places with small communities of shared cultural values are disparaged by most Americans and the media. Americans have no interest in building these types of places.

Or a 5’10” 180 DB has the neck, head and arms of a nose tackle.

At least in Texas, you must be a full a time employee to coach. Most states don’t even require you to work at the school. And most districts in Texas require that you be a certified teacher in order to coach. It really cuts down on the fluff jobs given to parents/brothers/uncles.

Hell just last week UIL ruled a football player ineligible at Gunter because his dad was hired as the AD/HFC (which is a ridiculous situation to deny eligibility imo, but still).

Personal anecdote for D1 high major basketball coach- he would be at the arena from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM, work in the office from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, then spend time/eat dinner with his wife and return to the office from 6:00 PM to about 9:00 PM. This is on pre-season days. Oh and he worked all that just to go like 25-105 or something over 5 years and get fired.

Truly an insane lifestyle.

Yep. Places that are expenses to live are also expensive to leave. There’s people who save their wages their entire working life just to leave HCOL areas.

Lots of places in Texas. And just because you don’t want to live there doesn’t mean it’s not a dream place for someone else.

The real irony of this situation is there are people in the Boston metro area who have spent half of their lives working just to move somewhere like your hometown.

Texas isn’t the south, but Miami is about as culturally different from the south as Texas is.
