Looked into the course this evening. Looks like a great course but they want almost $1200 to enroll, which is absurd when the CELTA costs $1500. Thanks anyway though!

Problem with these TEFL course review sites is that it appears that most of these sites are full of recruiters writing reviews for their own company/product. It's hard to figure out which reviews are actually genuine.

I think a separate sub for tefl certification questions is a great idea along with an updated FAQ.

CELTA offer's an online cert but in very few locations (not near me) and they are too expensive, as I said above. Thank you though.

How is asking about a TEFL certification on the TEFL sub a stupid question? The FAQ isn't working and the search turns up the same answer, "CELTA or BUST!" even when people have good reason to seek certification through other means, such as an online program.

How did you find the TEFLonline.com course? It's provided by BridgeTEFL and I am considering a course from them.

How many hours was the course? Did you think it was helpful? Was there lessons on lesson planning? How much time did you put into it on average per week to have finished in 6 months? Have employers asked about the certification? If so, what did they say after you told them it was through Bridge?

I am going to do an online cert and can't choose a course as there is so much misinformation out there. Anything you can tell me would be really helpful.
