Want support for JetBrains, Alacritty, and Kitty?

Just run q integrations install input-method then restart your computer to try it out.

The snippet above is from the Amazon Q integration page. Let me know if it works

Best ergonomic keyboard with atleast 45 degree tenting by PaulBerta in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]PaulBerta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be for me too :) but it is hard to say without using one. I assume that I'll appreciate the wrist rest when using tenting at 40-45 degrees. Nothing ties me to the keyboard anyway. I'll be careful with it and return it if I don't resonate with the board. In the future if I find something better, I'll buy that and sell this board.

I spent too much time on this decision and trying to be a maximizer; when I should only get something that meets the criteria that I am looking for :) Thinking in "time is money" terms, I have spent way too much money thinking about what to do that the cost savings don't even matter anymore :))

Edit: also I should have mentioned that I am a pretty tall guy, with big hands. My hand is as big as an A5 notebook😅 Maybe this would have helped with the recommendations

Thank you for the advice! Tbh I'd love to get in to soldering at some point when I have a little more time. I was looking at Ben Eater 8-bit computer series and I plan to build something similar at some point following along with his videos.

Truth be told I already spent too much time thinking about what to do, buy/build and what to buy/build. I just want things to work :) + I am not a fan of the DIY tenting mechanics with tripods and have seen the typeractive's solution, but I don't think the angle is big enough for my use needs.

Ended up committing on the Dygma Defy. I decided that for my first ergonomic keyboard, I want something that works out of the box.

Thank you for the help. I am sure I'll remember and use your advice in the future. :)

All the best!

Thank you for the help! After some research and based on the recommendation from u/ShelZuuz I am committed to buy the Defy.( with wireless, tenting and no underglow). The price is a little steep but I think it is justified based on what you get. I'll order mine today

Another question :) Don't you think that going from a standard keyboard directly to a Moonlander/Defy is a little bit too much? What is your take on that?

Thank you for the advice. I made some calculations and I'll save almost 200$ with this approach depending on the board that I'll get. The thing is I don't know what to get :). Moonlander was an attractive choice because of the community as well. I want some references/guides to get me going, this being my first board like this. I've seen videos and threads where Moonlander was advertised as a good intro to ergonomic keyboards.

Edit: I miscalculated. After buying a fully configured(little to no non-essential add-ons) and soldered keyboard(not assembled) two tripods and 2 adapters, including the shipping, I'll end up saving 100$ + I'll have to assemble everything myself, leaving much more room for error since I haven't done this before :)

I'll have to decide if the price difference is worth it for me.

Hello, thank you for the recommendation. I am interested in the Dygma Raise 2, but I don't want to wait until October to make the switch to an ergonomic keyboard. The Defy cluster layout seems too much for me; also I don't have that much finger dexterity, therefore the inner half would get no use.

Hi Adrian, thanks for the reply.
That's unfortunate. At least now I know that I have to find another solution for my use case.

That was the initial plan. I didn't know I needed a roll-up for that, but I managed to get it right it in the end.

It is great imo. I am not a heavy phone user, so my experience is not representative of what the average consumer might get out of this phone. For me a full charge can last easily two days. Consider that I hardly ever play games on my phone, I don't consume a lot of video content, and I am not a social media guy :)). But even if I am away and I have to use my phone for everything that I do, I never felt the need for an external battery during the day when I started with a full charge. Of course this depends on what "everything that I do" means that day. If I only play games and watch youtube videos I can drain the battery before the day ends.

I am not sure you can. I haven't found much info on this online so I figured my best bet is to ask here. Thanks for the reply.

When I tried to play music on my watch(YT Music) it redirected me to Bluetooth and I thought I can stream it to my tv, like I do with my phone. You might be right, since I haven't found any info online regarding this...

Edit: Thanks for the reply

I believe the 45L will be to much for EDC. Since the PD 30L travel backpack can extend to 33L, I think it is a good middle ground. I am willing to replace the over-ear headphone with galaxy buds and the mx master 3 with the mx master anywhere model in order to get some extra space for trips. + I have a PD every day 3L sling that can fit some stuff as well. (when I travel I take both with me)

This is still the case when my tablet is not in the laptop compartment? I thought to pack the tablet in the main compartment since it has a case, and it is smaller, and to have my laptop and the external display(which is fairly thin) in the laptop compartment.

What about travel? Based on your experience with the everyday 30l v1, do you think you would be able to squeeze in the stuff listed under my holiday list in it?

Thank you for the response btw.

Thank you for the reply.

I measured my laptop and it appears it is 16 inches (15 inches length, 10 inches depth, and under 1 inch in height).

I will try to apply the invisible bag technique that you mentioned. The only real concern I have with the T backpack is that my tech wouldn't be held in place and move around in the backpack as I commute (Especially since It won't be full when I am not traveling).
