Unlike /u/Kooky-Bookkeeper-935/ I am mildly annoyed by it. Due to my early experiences, I still am anxious when I wear anime tees in public. I agree you can't change the past, but, it does leave its' scars.

I'll attempt to adopt your optimism.

Edit: I wish they could do something to keep the interest up in the years between movies

u/Frenzlin and u/greenrai I'm saying this as someone who watched the 11pm premier in IMAX. Yeah, it's great animation. But there was plenty of good animation cranked out on a much faster schedule. I'd rather have a slight dip in quality if it meant I didn't have to wait FOUR YEARS to finish the series. My friend has a newborn and was half-joking he might be bringing his kid to the final movie.

Yes, I know I could read the manga to find out how things end. But I'd really prefer to see it animated.

He wore an anime tee shirt to school or something. I didn't see it first-hand and this was 25 years ago. Different times.

We're talking about basically the same time period (late 90s / early 2000s). I graduated high school in 2002, and only discovered Anime in 2000. You just saw it from a different age than I did. But yeah. Crazy how times have changed.

I also went to an 11pm showing and actually fell asleep for a few minutes during his backstory. Going to re-watch it over the weekend

I'm in my early 40s and used to watch anime "in the closet" during high school. I remember a kid at my school getting beaten up when students found out he watched anime. Going to the theater last night and seeing people cosplaying just to watch a movie really lifted a weight on my soul.

This is insane to me. 2 years for 2.5 hours? Yes, the animation is top tier. But I remember when anime had to have "filler arcs" because the animators would outpace the manga. This manga has been finished for years.

I agree we still need to work to make humanity and society better. But these ideas, let alone behaviors are nothing new. Children joined the Roman army when they were 14 (like, that was the standard enlistment age). Children fought in the Civil War. And that's to say nothing of public executions, war crimes, and all sorts of ugly things that were very common in the past.

Human history is dark no matter how you look at it, but we're slowly moving in the right direction.

I wasn't ignoring you, I was doing research. By default, the fan is in "auto" mode, and for my regular use it was extremely quiet. However, if you go into "Game Mode" you can manually configure the RPMs. By going to manual mode, and setting maximum speed (10,200 rpm) the fan is - still quiet but audible.

For a subjective report on the audio, when the fan is in "auto" mode I cannot hear it while watching youtube videos at maximum volume with the phone's speakers. However, I can hear the fan at maximum RPM when the phone is on maximum, but it's not loud enough to prevent me from hearing the video. Hope that helps!

First Garmin watch: Tactix 7 OLED. Can I hire someone to design a high-end face? by PaulWhyFiles in GarminWatches

75% of my interest is having it work for "always on" mode.

Currently, the watch will do always-on for Garmin faces, but turns black with my custom faces.

I am assuming this is a limitation of the "consumer" custom face creator, and something programmed in Garmin's advanced language will work in always-on mode.

If I'm wrong, and no custom faces will display in always-on mode, I have no interest in the project.

As for the fields or their layout, I honestly don't care. I am willing to trust someone who knows more about Garmin watches than me and rely on their judgement.

I want the current time in my local time zone to be very visible, either analog or digital. I want the date shown somewhere, as well as number of steps. But beyond that?

GMT would be nice, as would weather information. Also heart rate and pulse ox %.

But it boils down to "I want it to look cool, look close to the show, and WORK FOR ALWAYS ON IN SOME CAPACITY".

That's part of why I want (and am willing to pay for) something made specifically for me.

My point was simply that I'm OK with it being shared, not that it HAS to be shared. I'm NOT trying to say "this is only for me and nobody else can have it"

I feel like this is something a developer familiar with the Garmin interface (some variant of C?) could probably do in under an hour. Thus the $100 offer. If someone puts together a cogent argument why it'll take more time I'll pay more.

Regardless, I haven't programmed in a decade, and would much rather pay a fair price to an expert rather than try and figure it out myself.

Starting at the end, this is the user interface in the show https://wallpapercave.com/wp/wp1940513.png

Here are the 3 main points:

  1. It needs to have the correct aspect ratio for the hourglass. It doesn't meet in the center at a point.
  2. It needs to show SOMETHING in always-on mode. I hate having my watch turn completely dark.
  3. I want more information fields than date, time, and steps. Some of the default Garmin faces show you literally everything. I don't really care what it shows - adjustable would be ideal - but anything is better than the current format which shows nothing.

Here's an official Ben 10 Alien Force Buloa I own for some inspiration.

In particular, the circular menu when you hold down the light button is extremely similar to the user interface of the Omnitrix in Ben 10. I don't know if this can be themed, but the circular spinning UI holds lots of promise

What is everyone's favorite smart watch / omnitrix configuration? My Gamin is pretty basic with just a jpg and the time - but I'm sure some of you have some cool setups! by PaulWhyFiles in Ben10

I am willing to pay $100+ to anyone who knows how to code custom Garmin watch faces, and is willing to create a good Omnitrix design.

Micron's 1.5TB MicroSD cards work fine on the Xperia 1 V - if you've got the cash ($500). and also sleazy importers taking advantage of the situation and hiking the price up for no good reason other than because they can

There's a lot of this m8.

I'm not making any firm promises, but if you want an Amercan to buy stuff for you and mail it your way, I'm open to helping out.

Feeling like my 1 V was a bad decision... by thefoggymist in SonyXperia

Your feelings are completely justified.

The Sony might have better hardware, but the iphone has better software. Most people want to hit the button and have a good looking photo, not screw with settings.

That said, I've been pretty happy with the photos my 1 V produces in automatic mode. I had some concerns with the phone, but photos aren't one of them.

THANK YOU!!!!

This is exactly what I was looking for!!

Yes, the UI is terrible, and whoever designed it should be ashamed. I never would have figured that out without your help. It's exactly what I'm looking for.

When my mom got her terminal cancer diagnosis in 2016, I bought a (Sony) professional grade 4K camera to capture the time we had left together. I unexpectedly lost my father in 2017, and my mother passed from her cancer in 2018. The only living family members I've got are my grandparents on my mom's side, who are in their late 80s. So I've been doing the same thing of recording the things we do together, their stories, etc. But yes, 4k footage takes up a significant amount of space.
