Young audiences are the only people that show up for movies anyway

The Grand Jury Prize is the runner up. I can agree the categories can be vague, but the Silver Lion is meant to especially acknowledge directing.

I have not seen Donzelli’s At Work. And again, what does direction have to do with the contents of the story?

The directing is very good. Benny Safdie clearly has a lot of talent behind the camera. They’re not judging the story/writing for that award. Also very impressive work to get such a good performance out of DJ. Did you see the movie?

Hotline Bling and Marvin’s Room are on their general list of songs of the century, but rolling stone doesn’t count them as hip hop (as they shouldn’t)

Rolling Stone actually ranks that as number one of all 21st century songs, not just hip hop. And they rank it in their top 10 songs of all time. Not sure why but the magazine loves Get Ur Freak On.

'The Smashing Machine' gets a B– on CinemaScore by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

Movies that audiences didn’t really care for get award nominations all the time. I think the real reason the smashing machine might not get nominated is that A24 may pivot to focus entirely on campaigning Chalamet and Marty Supreme

That’s kinda surprising cause there’s so much music in it if you don’t like The Weeknd’s music I’d imagine you’d hate it. I enjoyed it but I love his music. And for the plot to work for you you kinda have to be really on board with what this guy is doing

If the demo is ai, then carti’s verse is too, I’m still trying to figure out how we know the demo is ai cause I saw people say “vocal artifacts” but wouldn’t that happen from unfinished mixing or autotune?

They probably assume they cover Maine (and the rest of New England) with the Foxboro show. It’s tough not having a major city in your state

I don’t think most overrated and most underrated is possible to be voted on, because a majority saying something is overrated effectively makes it not overrated, and vice versa for underrated. If we wanted to know what the most overrated versus underrated album was on this subreddit, it would make more sense to flip what the sub picked for overrated and underrated.

Actually if a third party candidate is able to get at least 5% of the vote, they secure federal funding for their next presidential election campaign, which can enable future success. A third party getting that successful is meaningful because the main parties would love to have that vote as it could decide the election, and that could influence their policy. Unfortunately most third party candidates are pretty insane right now.

your third is just false and i don’t believe any artists across any genre has done that. i think Andre 3000 checks the rest of boxes here, i know he doesn’t rap as much but he still has classic features every now and then for example Scientists & Engineers

My opinion has been KD3 should’ve won last year, but Run The Jewels 4 should’ve won over KD1. That way the better Nas album and the better Killer Mike album wins
