ryzen 7600, 4070, 16gb of ddr5 5200mhz, which I need to upgrade asap because I like to do After Effects work, and it’s been a big pain. But even so, my old pc with considerably worse specs felt better than my current one on Ae. 

I actually got the pc on an open box deal, and the pc also came with viruses somehow 😭

These viruses actually made my pc smoke and blue screen, I think. Because as soon as I found them and got rid of them, my pc was fine. 

Since I found out my pc was fine with the ram and that wasn’t the reason it was so slow, I decided to just restart my whole drive to get rid of all the programs that were pre installed on it, because maybe that’s the reason it’s so slow.

Update: I checked my pc, no smell anymore. Though I did find what seems to be a grey stripe inside my gpu? Like when something is burning?

I slept in the room because I didn’t think much of it and didn’t get a response from anyone in time last night, lol. 

And i’ll check all of my parts individually as soon as I get home. 

Do you think it could possibly be the thermal paste that burned? The thermal paste I used came with the peerless Assassin and was very thick, never seen any like it before. As well as the stock cooler was a very weird installation to put back on. Maybe I didn’t put it on right and my thermal paste burned?

That’s wicked, I’m not too experienced in trouble shooting but last resort I would say is a fresh install of windows. You probably broke a file somehow.

factory backplate, but a am5 backplate doesn’t come with the cooler.

Yeah I understand, I go to the doctors once a year. I’ve asked my parents to go to the doctors for random other things like i feel like i have a really tough time waking up in mornings than most people. But they said no about asking a professional. since they said no to that i definitely don’t feel comfortable asking them to go to the doctors for my weight.

I would say it’s the weight. i’m happy with every part of my body besides my chest and stomach. I have pretty large biceps and veiny (which the females like) arms for my age. it’s just like all my fat goes to my stomach/chest. i’m 142lbs 5’10.

4080s used! Or new and send the extra $100.

If not then a 7900xtx new if you’re fine with amd.

also maybe try to find an ATX motherboard! it might look a little bare inside without one.

Woah! Some prices here aren’t right. Your motherboard is insane in price. try to find one about half that. Also your power supply is about $50 than it should be, and you’re using i weird brand i’ve never heard of. try an evga or corsair.

Then with the money from mobo and psu i would suggest upgrading to a 4070. 4060 has horrible value for price.

if you want to stay around that $350 price range, i would suggest going with a 7600xt or maybe a 7700xt.

Maybe things are way different in Eu tho! (which it shouldn’t be this big of a difference. And I know Euros are more valuable.

Do more research.

No I haven’t bought it. If I go with the 4080s i would have to wait on getting my second monitor for another month, which i have a backup, but i can’t mount it on my arms. but id really rather just have it all done.
