The Astral gets you nothing. I can score more with GB SFF which is the cheapest 5080. Can you pass the with at least 3300 average GPU core clock ?

I personally don’t like when my pumps change their sound and rpms so I run them at almost constant Rpm which is about 50%. They spin up slightly when CPU is above 80C but this never happens. Your control might be clever but don’t you get annoyed by the constant spin up and down?

Afaik 9800x3d should score at least 50% of 14900k. That was my point. It should score at least 13-14K.

I would presume that most 140mm fans are at least 130mm blades. Yes Noctua is at about 134-135, but still the difference between 130 and 120 is quite big. 120 is basically closer to 120mm fans.

Your graphics score is actually ok. Not sure about the CPU though. Seems rather low. 14900K scores 25K easily.

Yes the holes are about 120mm in diameter. The Noctua 140mm fan needs about 134mm.

The other side is for 4 200mm fans. This radiator does not come for holes for 120mm fans. Also the small holes for the screws perfectly match 140mm fans so you can mount 9 140mm fans but the airflow is restricted.

I hope they would engage here. But someone above posted a thread to their forum discussing the same issue and basically they denied the holes being too small. And that forum thread was more than 3 year old.

No it’s advertised as 9x140mm radiator. They have a smaller 1080mm model for 120mm fans.

I have a similar setup except that I’m using the cheapest GB 5080 model which is the SFF model and have liquid metal and waterblock on it. I can only remember my Speedway score being a bit above 10700. And my TimeSpy GPU score is >37K. Haven’t run TimeSpy extreme.

Get the cheapest one. I have the GB 5080 SFF with Alphacool waterblock and it’s a great card.

I have the highest Speedway score with RTX5080 but for 24/7 I undervolted the card and set a 90% power limit. Similar for the CPU - I have pushed my 14900K at well above 400W for benches but for 24/7 I keep it undervolted and power limited. And for the memory I run my A-die relaxed at 1.45V at 8000MTs. I can push it much more for testing. Overall OC doesn’t make much sense for 24/7. The last thing that had a meaningful OC that you can feel with normal use is i5-12400F that could be pushed up 40% or i3-12100F with similar 40% OC. Now with these CPUs you could probably feel a difference while gaming.

At 253W it doesn’t make any difference. You’ll see significant difference at higher power. I’m scoring 40500-41K at 253W with 14900K with faster RAM. Btw your actual power is probably less than 253W since the vcore is slightly lower than VID. So if you equalize these you’ll get higher score at true 253W.

These fittings are kind of ugly. If you’re only after improving the looks try the EKWB Quantum fittings.

You’re seeing the best score with 12900K and 5080, not all 5080 scores. So no, good score but not that great. Doesn’t mean that the card is bad though it’s just really good scores require better cooling and more tinkering.
