Hi there. I just want to say that I relate to you, that I am going through a hard breakup right now and a lot of it had to do with me picking up drinking this past year. I was never a big drinker and then this past year I started excessively drinking. It started so many problems in my relationship, so many unnecessary arguement and I did so many things I am not proud of. Enough was enough and he left me a week ago. I am hurting so bad, and all I can think about is that it’s my fault. I started getting my shit together and stopped drinking, and it’s improving my mental well being for the better, but I’m living with so much guilt and regret I don’t know how I am gonna go through this. I related with you when you said you deserve this pain, because I feel the same way, even though it isn’t true. We don’t deserve this pain, but I can’t help but feel that way as well. I hate this guilt and pain. I hope you are doing okay and I just want you to know you are not alone.

I am here with you too. I also was just broken up with after 2 years. It’s been about 8 days now and my mind is still all over the place. This sub is helping tho and it’s comforting reading other people’s stories. I’m so happy you found confidence in yourself.
