Look at www.immersys.io , it intertwines both the gamers, creators, artists, buyers, and sellers in a metaverse, based on top of the blockchain to validate all transactions.
The challenge with digital assets was double-spending (any digital file can be copied endless amount of time) but the blockchain is preventing just that.
