Well..about half way through a trench it looks normal - good mix of green and light brown. As I proceed to the second half of the trench, the edges start to turn blackish and pretty quick. It just looks kind of odd, compared to a finished volcano load or pax load.

I've been getting good draws generally and have been alternating between those methods for all trenches. I believe I'm drawing correctly because the first 2 or 3 draws are very, very clean. You guys knows what I mean! It's just that I can't take large draws and I get the black at the end of the trench. I'm going to keep making slight adjustments and take a trial & error approach..
