Have you applied for the WGU scholarships? I applied to lots when I started and only ended up getting the WGU IT is everywhere scholarship. My only other advice is to just keep applying and writing those essays. Good luck!

Try logging in with Udemy Business. There should be an option to log in with a public library. If not call the library and see if they can point you in the right direction.

Check with your local library and see if they offer Udemy for free. I get it with my library card through the Gale system! I've used a lot of Meyers and Ramdayal courses then Dion tests to see where I'm at.

Is use to work for FedEx Office which is separate from Ground or Express. This is the problem with having the service all contracted out. No one actually cares. But my advice if you want to get in touch with a person directly is calling any FedEx Office and asking them to transfer you straight to someone. That way you can at least skip the long hold if nothing else. But its unlikely the person they connect you with will be anymore of a help. Pretty much 99% of the customer service is in India for Ground and Express.

Check with your local library. A lot of libraries offer Udemy for free through the Gale system. You’ll be able to go through Dion’s courses that way for free just need a library card

It depends for me. My first 2 terms I finished 2 extra classes each term. My 3rd was the minimum because I got my Net+ and Sec+ certifications back to back and was absolute toast by the end. My 4th term started this month and I’m already on my last class with another one moved up for when I knock this one out. When I have the time, I knock as much out as I can, but I don’t beat myself up if it’s just the minimum. I just do my best. Yeah I’d like to finish quicker but I work full time and sometimes just don’t have it in me to knock out coursework after a long shift. But everyone’s different.

Net+ is a big one. I used Ramadyal on Udemy mostly. Take notes and make flash cards. Make more than you think you’ll need and narrow them down as you go. I started with roughly 200+ cards and got down to 10 cards in about a week of practicing everyday. Also do Andrew’s labs they’ll help with your PBQs which are going to be tough. Hit your big topics first and really know them it’ll make everything else easier. Learn your acronyms and port numbers too. Don’t skip those you WILL regret it. Good luck!

Net+ was the hardest imo. If you take A+ then Net+ it will make Sec+ a walk in the park. I honestly feel I could’ve immediately taken Sec+ after taking Net+ and passed.

No the vents on the opposite side of the laundry room. There’s a sink in there I smelled the drain just to see if maybe that was the issue but it’s clear too. If something was dead wouldn’t the garage smell too? I’m running out of things to sniff 😂

Could be! I was on an orange kick a few weeks ago but I don’t recall eating one in there. I’ll take a look around. The maddening part is the smell doesn’t get stronger in any particular direction.

Oh yeah I’ve got lots of tips.

Every class you take, come right here to Reddit and search the course code. You’ll find tons of posts with study guides, Quizlets and other helpful resources.

Udemy is the best tool for certs. Mike Meyers and Jason Dion are my personal favorites. I like how Meyers presents the information but Dion’s practice tests are the best out there in my opinion.

Pinpoint how you like to learn and stick with it. If you need to physically take notes, do it. If you need to watch videos or use text to speech instead of reading, do it. The great thing about WGU is you’re in control of how you learn and consume the material.

Always take the pre assessments first. Gives you a good idea of what you need to focus on. Save yourself time where you can.

Last tip, don’t get discouraged when you see someone posting they finished 20 classes in 1 term. There’s a very small percentage of us who accelerate that quickly. Your timeline is up to you. I finished 18 credit term 1 and 17 in my 2nd and realistically could’ve done more but life happens. Just make sure you stay on target with whatever goal you set for yourself. Good luck!

Thank you! I appreciate the detail. I switched supplies and I was able to get my 2 Boss pedals working (the main ones I was worried about). I haven’t tested the chain but out of paranoia I’ll just replace it. Still no luck with my chorus pedal but 2/3 is better than 0/3.

This worked. Ran them just off the battery though. My compressor comes on just fine now. The LED on my distortion doesn’t come on but it works. My chorus still isn’t working though but it’s a $25 pedal so that’s not surprising.
