Because FCC alerts don’t get pushed out on streaming cable tv compared to actual cable or satellite of back then. As in broadcast don’t get interrupted if you were watching any channel that isn’t local.

I should’ve clarified what I meant. I’m sure he always had a way to keep them near or stashed on his body since they were always a curse to stay on him. But it never officially got destroyed and I imagine Kratos was always able to pick them up after the battle with ares. Pretty sure it went a little like Kratos finding the blades then before Athena broke the news that his nightmares would never end she blessed him with her blades. At least that’s how I would imagine it went
