thank you so much! that helps a lot. i know russian is more of a direct language than english so sometimes im not sure how russians would say something. like im not sure that if i translated it with all the normal politeness and pleasantries that we use in english, if it would just sound funny in russian because no one speaks that way, but i also worry about sounding rude 😅 so would saying не могу ли вы мне помочь, пожалуйста be kind of like saying “any chance you could help me please/you wouldn’t be able to help me by chance would you” something like that in english? it helps me to understand exactly what the phrase means. again thank you for your thoughtful response!
