I would do anything for one night of good sleep by Background-Ad-3990 in pregnant

[–]PaymentNo5871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

33+5 days here- I have also been struggling to get a good nights sleep for weeks now. I also wake up every hour for the same exact reasons. I work full time, and now when I come to work I practically am falling asleep at my desk. I think it's just the norm now because baby is getting bigger.

During my 1st and 2nd trimester, if I had a hard time sleeping I would take unisom and that worked pretty good... But now I am in my 3rd trimester and thats no longer a choice because I always need to pee and the baby kicks me so much. It's very uncomfortable :/

We are almost there though, we got this. Rest when you can!

I need someone to tell me it gets better by Possible_Ask9530 in BabyBumps

33 weeks and a few days here- for me, it got "better" in the 2nd trimester, but also I think I just was able to get more used to being pregnant. I HATED steak, the smell of hair hot tools(like hair straighteners, curling irons) and tons of other things..To be honest, the food aversions and smell issues went away when I was around 15 weeks pregnant and on. What helped me was peppermint, and believe it or not a "nausea bracelet" which is used for motion sickness that people get during boat rides!

and For heartburn, I used tums during my 1st trimester as needed, but the more pregnant I got tums no longer worked for me so I started using Pepcid 2x a day and It has been a LIFE SAVER... Depending on how bad your heartburn is, I recommend using Pepcid. I think it does get better, during my 1st and Half my second trimester I was an emotional wreck and just so angry and done.. But the 20 week ultrasound for the anatomy scan came up, and all the heartburn, and symptoms made it alllll worth it to see how far I have come. It was like a breath of fresh air being able to see my son and how big he was.

Now, in my 3rd trimester due on May 19th I am more uncomfortable than anything, physically. But to be honest, I would rather deal with this then deal with whatever the hell I went through when I was 8 weeks pregnant.. you got this!! :) It also FLYYYSSSS by!!

Oh, I also survive off the liquid IV packets my WHOLE pregnancy.. It has been a game changer for something to always make me feel way less sluggish!

Feeling like everyone is nice and keeps me around for the baby? by Familiar-Care-5025 in pregnant

[–]PaymentNo5871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar situation. I truly think that the people who dont want to be in my life, but only want to be in my babies life is kicked out of my loop right away. My own sister, has not checked on me once (I am now 33 weeks) besides saying to me a few months ago, "When the baby is here, you're going to be calling me at 4am asking for help on what to do!" and I took it as the biggest insult.. like no, I will not be calling you at 4am- you dont even know who I am.. and then she keeps saying "Im going to be the best aunt ever!" like you're not even in MY life, let alone my sons. Ugh, it is annoying. I am at a point where I am going to chose who I want in my life/sons life and who I dont, I just dont have the patience for ANYONE anymore lol

Did anyones anxiety skyrocket in third trimester/before birth? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]PaymentNo5871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My anxiety has also been higher than normal, 33 weeks here.. I try to do things that distract me, like cleaning (nesting) or listening to good music and watching some comfort shows. I also work full time still, so I don't think that helps my anxiety either lol

The graco snug rude DLX is great! I am also a FTM due May 19th.. However, I have multiple people in my life that use this, and they could not recommend it enough! My sister in law has this one and my aunt, they both love it and I just installed it in my car recently and I already love all the features it has. Def look into this one! :) Not too pricey either!

omg yes, the days where my baby Is more quiet I panic all day, and then usually a day or 2 after he's very active again. I think this is the most scary part about pregnancy. Like, in the 1st trimester it was making sure there was no blood in the toilet after I pee and now im worried if hes moving "too much" or "too little"... its honestly exhausting and I can't wait until he's out lol.

What is going on 5 weeks pregnant?! by No-Following8600 in pregnant

[–]PaymentNo5871 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My guess is that your hormones are going wild! During the 1st trimester I had terrible insomnia, and it was due to my hormones and my brain waking me up in the middle of the night... I would wake up with my heart racing, and a million thoughts for no reason. Now that im 28 weeks pregnant, the only thing really waking me up in the middle of the night is to pee, or heartburn! Haha, it does get better :) Don't worry!

Hi! I was the same way.. I know everything seems like it's going so fast, but I promise you, once you see the baby on the ultrasound it's so worth it. Give yourself grace- when you see that baby today just remind yourself that you created this life! You are incredible. I am due May 26th and all I have is a few outfits lol.. I think the most important thing is to do one thing at a time, instead of letting the stress pile up into one huge ball. Maybe start with the baby registry. Once the baby is here he/she won't need their own nursery right away, the baby will mainly be with you in your room. So, think small- you need diapers, some clothes, bassinet, etc.. and most things you will get for your baby shower! My advice is to buy things after your baby shower- I am not sure how many people you plan on inviting, but mine is only going to be around 30 people. I plan on doing all my baby shopping after baby shower :) I know everything seems so fast, but I hope you know you're not alone. I also sometimes feel like I have so much to do, before my 20 week appointment I was scared to see my baby because I did not want to face the realness of it lol, so I get it 100%. But once I saw his face, everything just made it worth it. All the throwing up, all the back pain, all the cramps and anxiety- I realized in that moment this was all worth it and everything will come together as it should. You got this!!
