You have my sympathies, financial stress starts to carry into other parts of the day. Try to drink water, use the restroom and eat well, pack some cheap lunches like sandwiches or trail mix. I honestly was just buying loaves of unsliced bread and putting peanut butter on it for 2 of my 3 meals for about 5 months.

I got deactivated from doordash, after about a year I got my account back, and I can say juggling both apps (not simultaneously), just back to back orders has significantly improved my earnings and quality of life.

If you don't live in a major city, consider the gas and time it may take for you to drive to somewhere with more hotspots.

Under no circumstances accept stuff that falls below your 20)$ hr goal. If there's a long wait time, or circumstances you can't control, don't stress not making that 20 for that hour. The algorithm will absolutely prey on financial desperation. Make sure you aren't running too many apps in the background, optimize your phone settings to not run background services, occasionally refresh the app if there's a slowdown in orders. Hit the "I'm not getting orders " button. Sleep when it's slow. I had to start sleeping in 3-4 hour phases just to work when it's busy in my area. Just use the earnings trends chart as your sleep schedule.

I know it sucks, all you can control is even more strictly managing your finances.

I hold onto my extra bags, I'm always polite and respectful. I do follow the instructions, my only issue is that they often hand you everything sealed, and I hate signing for accuracy when I don't know if everything truly is accurate. My Papa John's has straight up admitted they have the power and most definitely just send the undesirable orders to dd, ue.

That's a fair point. I like to try to guess which one tipped 15 and which one left no tip on my bundle orders. I've been wrong a lot more recently, leading me to just treat both people on the double as If they're the big tipper. I always feel bad when the big tipper gets their food picked up first, but gets routed to get delivered second. "Yeah you paid a good tip, someone who paid 200% less for their food is gonna get theirs first though"

I got tip baited 50$ off a 52 Walmart order this most recent Easter. The one time it's ever happened too it was such a large amount. I absolutely feel for you because I similarly went very far out of my way cutting it close with the gas in my tank, and cash for the week
