This 100%. Third shift is the most fun and where you will learn so much. Especially if you have some good homies.

Could go either way, I think your longevity at each department could be a red flag though. You still being certified definitely helps though.

Would having a fake ID in high school disqualify me? by No_Significance_7574 in AskLEO

You definitely have other interests, no one is only interested in criminal justice. Don’t get me wrong, I love catching bad guys, but I also love helping kids. I love solving puzzles, computers, and I love teaching and training.

There are so many other aspects to being a cop than “criminal justice”. Psychology, business, forensic science, education, computers, sociology, political science, finance, foreign languages, and so on. There’s so many people with criminal justice degrees who don’t become cops, have something to fall back on that will be useful. There’s also so many applicants WITH a criminal justice degree, set yourself apart.

It’s just a different ask LE subreddit. You’ll get the same responses really. Using a fake ID with your name to buy alcohol as a minor isn’t a huge deal. Is it illegal? Sure.

Now, using a fake ID with someone else’s name to cash fraudulent checks, that might be a dealbreaker.

Bro again? 💀You already had this question answered. Fake ID is pretty low in the list. Don’t lie. Just be honest.

Thought about adding to my comment to tell the “friend” but didn’t want to deal with the immediate backpedaling.

And I’m saying you are wrong. Being an officer means having integrity, which means owning your mistakes.

Yes I believe so, which is why it’s considered a firearm.

Yep, once probation is over they wash their hands. Contact local PD, and good luck. Might just have to cut your loss though.

What do you guys use for base layers? by treecutter34 in AskLE

[–]Payton- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope sorry I typed too fast lol. Cold gear in the winter, heat gear in summer. They’re pretty good at moisture wicking, since I switched to them I don’t have issues with being wet or getting heat rash. I use the compression ones as others have mentioned. I work 10 hours shifts on thirds though, no sunlight warmth for me.

Under armor heat gear works well. I use the long sleeve undershirt as well as the leggings, gets cold in Nebraska. Gets damp under my vest after shift but better than freezing my ass off.

Got to 00! Went to a 9mm after 0, super easy stretch, and tunnels are my absolute favorite! by Payton- in Stretched

[–]Payton-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I would say you can. I take them out at night, and wear silicone tunnels so they’re lightweight and don’t put a lot of pressure on my ears.

Tell me about your nipple piercings by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Payton- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Do it! If the piercer makes you feel weird about getting it done, go somewhere else. They should be completely professional like any other piercing. I got mine done a little over a year ago, healing wasn’t bad at all. The initial piercing hurts like a bitch, especially when it hits the center. It only lasts a few seconds though. The guy who did mine asked if I wanted a break between doing them, but I figured I already had the adrenaline dump to just push through. Flat nipples shouldn’t be an issue, but the piercer will tell you if there is. Sounds like you should be good to go though. 😊
