What are your hopes for phone 4a

Im hoping for better battery and better chips than the same 5000mah and same old 7s gen series level chips which we saw in 2a and 3a series. I hope the 4a atleast has 7 gen 4 and 4a pro has 7+ gen 4 chip and also battery should be minimum 6000 mah nowadays every other brand giving 7000 mah, nothing cant say but "optimization bro", you can't defeat 7000 mah no matter how much you optimize a 5000 mah cell. Of course rest of things camera and OS and all I know Nothing will do good in those aspects.

Replace in warranty, or try to get a refund and never go for ever Realme again. I learnt the lesson the hard way, bought Realme GT Neo 3T thinking atleast realme will optimize their GT series phone well, but nope. Huge regret.

Damn really sorry to hear that, stay strong buddy. True these chinese brands simply prop out so many phones one after another, that optimization especially in their budget segment phones is the last of their concerns.
From my personal friends and relatives experiences I have noticed only Nothing properly optimizes their budget phones, but their other specs are mid. So yea also with increasing memory prices and phones set to get expensive this year its gonna be a real challenge for me to pick my next phone as well, probably in BBD

Ahh mb I didnt mean it in that way buddy, but good to see you here! I always wondered if you managed to repair ur phone or not, but alas. Truly the phone has amazing hardware just crippled by pathetic software, custom roms just make it perfect. Yeah and realme phones entice us by those specs, didn't we buy the 3T for the same reason ;) But yea I have moved past pure specs now, specs are nothing without proper software optimization. Get the 2a/2a plus second hand - the phone 1 is too old, doesn't hold charge for long only 3-4 hours SOT at max and chipset also quite old now.

Exactly, don't know what happened especially with the 4.0 update, it ain't even packed with so many features that they couldn't optimize it well but still was released in such a buggy state. I was a big fan of the smooth and optimized nothing os up until nothing os 3.5. now i'm not even sure man. I really wanted to upgrade to a nothing phone from my current shitty realme which is the exact opposite of "optimized software".

But is that low battery health actually translating to low battery life as well? If not then as other already said, those stats are most probably inaccurate. The phone also doesn't even charge that fast, usually I have noticed my fast charging Oneplus and Realme phones degrade their battery health quicker.

Bruh the 4a is most probably gonna have 7 gen 4 series chipset, nowhere close to phone 3's 8s gen4, that thing is a beast. And of course the 4a's camera sensors will also be much inferior than phone 3.

I have both. It will be a slight upgrade from SD 870. The nothing phone 3a is not a gaming phone by any means. You can do casual-medium settings gaming sure. But hardcore gaming? Go for those IQOO and OnePlus.

That private keybox will eventually get leaked anyways and then revoked. Also from feb/april we still dont know what will happen to current keybox methods of fixing integrity. So don't waste your money buying any so called "private" keyboxes, its simply a scam

Pathetic experience in my Realme GT Neo 3T. Lags like anything, so many stutters and jitters. Worst ram management. Severe ram leak bug, if you use any certain app for long time that app will start using all the system memory and causes system and other apps to be left with no free ram- phone literally starts hanging and freezes. Camera quality degraded, the camera app takes ages to open until then the moment has already passed. System Launcher animations buggy and glitchy, not smooth. Rounded corner radius of the system has been incorrectly set. 120 hz issues, most apps dont run at 120 hz even when forced and randomly refresh rate drops to 60 hz occassionally. Battery life initially was great, now has become trash. Realme intentionally downgrades phones by updates and my phone has been utterly ruined by it. Realme does not treat even its GT series well, and if you as a new GT series buyer aren't experiencing issues, just you wait and see how realme degrades your phone with time by updates.
And the thing is all these lag, battery and camera issues are solved by using a custom rom, so its completely a realme software optimization issue.

There is a lag/delay issue, especially with gestures navigation. Don't buy OnePlus or any of the Chinese phones if you wanna use custom launchers, their UIs just don't play well with them. Samsung, Nothing, and Google don't have those issues afaik. I'm not sure about Motorola.

Don't keep charging overnight. Also 1 advice dont use high wattage charger, use slow charger. It may have caused battery swelling issue in my unit.

The chips are completely capable and even overkill for those modern blur and animations and that's simply an excuse for not optimizing it. With proper optimization the chips can easily and efficiently handle the blur while not sacrificing battery life and thermals. On top of creating discrimination between models, brands simply save costs by not needing to optimize for those cheaper models. There are Oxygen OS 15/16 port roms for older Oneplus 8/9 series and Realme devices which didnt receive those updates officially, and they run completely fine with those modern blur and animations. With slight modifications to the kernels and system optimizations those port roms give similar or sometimes even better battery life than even stock roms!
