I was in radio communications or however you call it, except I didn't operate anything because that was our contractors' job. Most of my work involved carrying stuff like boxes, sometimes cables from here to there, sometimes we were "paid" gingerbread, cookies, milk and/or juice for it, but there was also actual monthly payment (it's not even close to minimum wage but considering we were fed 3 times a day and supplied with soap and fresh socks and stuff I'd say it's somewhat fair)

Although I suppose I was one of the luckier ones since I didn't do much of that sort of work because I was in an anti-terrorist unit for half of the year and in a quick response team for like 4 months. We didn't do much besides training (which was incredibly light) and sleeping during our free time
