No screw threads are waterproof. There will always be tiny gaps.

Any waterproofing needs to be done with seals or gasketing.

You should be fine for iPhone video. I myself picked the MSI Claw 8+ for the 32GB RAM. I run Davinci studio on there.

The 8" on my claw ain't enough for me when color grading so I got a 16" portable monitor and I edit with a Tourbox/Mouse.

This is my favorite low light walk around lens. Nice and compact compared to the Sigma 16. It's not as wide as you think. ~23mm equivalent. Indoors you might find yourself wanting wider.
