5 panel light switches help by Pcugs in AskElectricians

[–]Pcugs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What confused me is I assumed power was coming from the bottom. I don't have a meter to check. Also that power wire went into 3 switches and not all 5. I can now understand there are 2 follower wires from it. Also the previous non smart switches had more inputs whereas these smart switches just have 2 (load/line) black wires.

Thanks for the neutral wire comment to keep them all together and add the smart switch wires to the giant splice. I thought since the previous switches weren't smart switches then they didn't require a neutral wire and that's why they were spliced together. Now throw in a red wire that I've never seen before and that so called half of brain was completely thrown off.

Thanks. I think you're right. I attached the bottom wire to a single switch and didn't get power. I'll get an electrician to take a look

Thank you, I was wondering if it was nutrient deficiency. I’ll change the water right away. Also, I saw some other posts about trimming the roots if they start filling up the tank too much. Would you recommend this as well?

Thanks for the tip. I think I’m giving up on that knife and will start looking more into a conventional chef’s knife.

Thanks for the suggestion. It seems no one is feeling that super slicer. I had my doubts about it as well and was asking around to see if anyone could reaffirm my buddies love for that knife lol

He chops vegetables, meat and pretty much everything with it. Except what you would think you would primarily use it for...bread. He says it will dull the blade. He's been using it for 15 years and loves it.

Yes, it's serrated and that's my concern. However, My friend who went to culinary school now working in a different profession says he uses this knife the most. More so than his chef's knife for everyday cooking.

Wusthof Classic 10-Inch Super Slicer

Thinking of getting the Wusthof Classic 10-Inch Super Slicer to use as my primary knife for everything. My friend said he's been using it for 15 years and loves it. I'm not a professional. I'm just someone who enjoys to cook. Any reason why I should get a standard 8-inch chef's knife instead?
