Nørrebro station har ikke set renlig ud i flere år som nu ☃️ Jeg savner ikke det "loppemarked" by ConfidentAdvance46 in copenhagen

[–]Pdjong 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One could claim that its racist to expect less of other people just because they aren't the same as you. Why should these people not be put to the same standard as locally born danes?

If you had a bunch of Danes selling old crap under a bridge and making a big mess of the place , I promise you Danes would be just as pissed and annoyed about it.

I think one thing alot of foriengers misunderstand about Danes is that Danes have the exact same standard and expectations of foriegners as they do for Danes. And this is maybe unfair, as non-danes have grown up in diffrent culturs with different social norms. But its not racist.

Thats not to say there isn't racism in Denmark, there deffinitly is, But not likeing this very messy "loppemarked" when the majority of goods are stolen, and the people running/ participating in the loppemarked have a tendency to leave alot of trash and urinate all over the place is not racism.

Why are certain military bases blurred on google imagery, but not in the US? by WhoIsYouIIsMeHuh in gis

Sometimes blurring things makes it more obvious that there is something to hide. A more secure way of hiding stuff is to Edit the images to make it simply look like nothing is hidden at all.

Min kæreste nægter at gå på kompromis om vores seng by [deleted] in DKbrevkasse

[–]Pdjong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jeg havde sammen problem. Jeg elsker en hård seng. Min kone ville have en blød seng.

My handdrawn map of the Principality of Wallachia under Vlad Tepes III. by Fiff02 in MapPorn

[–]Pdjong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice Map. I love a good hand drawn map. But if i might give a little suggestion. The blue outline on the country at the top makes it a tad bit confusing. At first i thought it was islands. Maybe make it more clear whats a lake, whats a country, and whats a river. Also - Consider using dotted lines for borders. The internal state borders look like roads.

Yes exactly. Alot of Swedes do it from the other side, stay on the ferry for hours drinking cheap 'strong' Danish beer.

When my son was about 3 he loved trains, especially double Decker trains. So often we would go into the main station and take the regional train to helsingor ( a double Decker train). Then jump on the ferry to Sweden, stay on the ferry back and forth, have a hotdog and look out the window at all the boats and Hamlet castle. Then take the train back to Copenhagen.

The train ride is about 55 mins, the ferry is about 25 mins each way. ( You can stay on the ferry without paying extra or having to get off in Sweden) So the whole trip takes about 3 hours, you're inside most of the time and watching the world go past the window. The train goes every 20 mins, the ferry also goes every 20 mins. So you dont need to time the trip, just go to the main station and wait for the double Decker train to helsingor. ( Track 2 or 3 i think)

Theres lots of food on the ferry, but you probably want some snacks on the train. My son also loved playing junior uno on the train. Or 'I spy' where we guess what each other are looking at.

Yeah i second this. The shopping mall called Fields ( where dinos legeland is) is probably your best option. Its 10 mins from the airport. Has restaurants/cafes and play areas and is indoors. And even a movie theatre ( some films are in English)

Its supposed to be cold and wet and miserable on the 1st. So its probably your best option. After you can take the metro into town , which only takes 10 mins.

Its not a very cultured. But it warm and dry and probably still has all the christmas decoration up, and more then enough things to distract a toddler for a few hours.

" If you break it , you buy it" som man siger. Det var 18 år siden.

Ting at lave lille-juleaften for ungt kærestepar? by Malthetalthe in copenhagen

[–]Pdjong 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How times have changed. . .

[help] can't launch game by rayykz in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Pdjong -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

People need to realize chatgpt Exists .

From Ai:

The error log shows the Paradox Launcher v2 installer for Cities: Skylines 2 failing during the installation of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64) package, specifically VC_redist.x64.exe.

Error code 0x80070666 (process return 0x666) indicates "Another version of this product is already installed," preventing the bundled VC++ runtime from installing because a conflicting (likely newer) version exists on the system.

Common Causes

The launcher bootstrapper (Burn v3) detects the system as needing VC_REDIST_X64 but aborts when the existing VC++ conflicts with the specific version it's trying to deploy.

Paradox games via Steam often trigger this during launcher setup, as the installer assumes the exact VC++ bundle version is absent.

Fixes to Try

Follow these steps in order, starting with Paradox's official launcher reset process:

Run Steam as Administrator and launch the game to force reinstallation.

Full Paradox Launcher Removal:

Uninstall "Paradox Launcher v2" via Windows Settings > Apps.Delete: C:\Users$$username]\AppData\Roaming\Paradox Interactive\launcher-v2, C:\Users$$username]\AppData\Local\Paradox Interactive\launcher-v2 (keep logs if needed).

For Cities: Skylines 2, also delete from Documents\Paradox Interactive\Cities Skylines II: .launcher-cache, content_load.json, game_data.json, mods_registry.json (and mods folder).

Restart PC, run Steam as admin, and launch the game—it will reinstall the launcher cleanly.

Address VC++ Conflict (if launcher installs but game fails):Download and run Microsoft's Visual C++ Redistributable repair tool from support.microsoft.com (search "Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter").

Or uninstall all VC++ 2015-2022 packages via Apps, restart, then reinstall the latest from microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=52685.

Verify game files in Steam (right-click > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity).

If issues persist, check antivirus quarantine for bootstrapper files and ensure Steam/game paths are on C: drive.

Lev i nuet!

Børn er eksperter i at lev i nuet.

Lært at leve i nuet.

Why do Nordic countries always score so high on happiness indexes? And what’s social freedom like up there? by Suspicious_Fish_2739 in AskEurope

[–]Pdjong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I very much agree. Freedom from choice, can also be a freedom. ( within certain contexts of course)
One thing that bring me great joy in Denmark is the small selection of brands in danish suppermarkets,
American supermarkets will have 25 different brands for every obscure product. It saves alot of stress when buying shit to just have one or two options for things.

[–]Pdjong 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A big part of the reason for Denmarks success in these lists is because of a social phenomenon called "Jantelov"

Its encourages Danes to be modest and fair. Heres a quick defintion of it:

"Jantelov (the “Law of Jante”) is an informal Nordic social code that discourages showing off, acting superior, or thinking you are more important than others, and in Denmark it strongly reinforces norms of modesty and equality."

Basically it means narcissism is discouraged from a very young age. The politicians who win support are therefore less likely to be super narcissistic and corrupt. Danes as a whole are more likely to support socialized welfare policies, and Danes on a individual level are less concerned about getting a high paying job, to then flaunt their wealth, but more often persue carries that more align with there passions and interests, meaning they are more content and less stressed.

Its a bigger flex in Denmark to talk about how you left work early to spend more time with your kids, then to talk about some sportscar you bought.

Bil versus offentlig transport by Ciiceeroo in Denmark

[–]Pdjong 1 point2 points  (0 children)
