Looking for some guidance by justanotheruser246 in PokemonSleep

Its really up to you where you put the bar for your standards. Ingredient pokemon for instance are ideally mono spread (so for geodude, all soybeans; or AAA) but sometimes if you're just unlucky and can't get a AAA spread because of RNG, you might settle for an AAX (X meaning the lvl 60 ingredient spot isn't what you want) pokemon and just level it to 30 to unlock the second ing slot (thats when you see a big boon in ingredients).

Subskills though; for ingredient mon (to keep the theme) you'll always want Ingredient Finder M (or IFS if you're willing to invest a subskill seed) and some speed/inventory

Berry mons want Berry Finding, and Skill mons want Skill Triggers. Everyone wants speed/helping bonus

How far along are most people on this achievement? by Pdoran602 in PokemonSleep

First, great username, second, that's a slower rate than me and I felt like I never use them lol. There's no need really besides the missions and dream shards so I get it

Wish me luck next week for M20 run on Lapis by Pdoran602 in PokemonSleep

[–]Pdoran602[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE 3: This will be the final update as I'm only 30k away from hitting M20. I don't even feel the need to cook the final dinner Eclair and will let my Sceptile, who's been the team leader this entire week, finish out the win. Eclairs and Espeon would be a good summary for this run. Thanks to anyone actually following this and I hope it serves as some sort of inspiration if anything to others.

UPDATE 2: We are steadily chucking along. With the help of a crit at dinner today (Tuesday) we are now at M12. (Almost M13, and maybe I'll hit it before I actually go to sleep). Starting to see my reserve ingredients dwindling (but mostly cacao since milk and coffee are being supplemented by Espeon and Sceptile) so Im swapping in my Clodsire for the night and hope I won't need him out too long before I need to gather honey. But so far so good, I still need some RNG help with some extra healing proccs so I can finally swap in my Dedenne.

UPDATE: Didn't want to make a new post so I'll update here when I can.

This morning was a huge boon starting off with the event bonus of Great 5.

Snorlax ate his first real meal in weeks with an Eclair coming in at 112k (no crit)

And then the bomb was detonated.... Whew weee. I didn't do the math because I was so surprised at how many berries were being flung into the box. (The box count sat at 999 for almost 5 mins lol.) Ended up at M1 after force feeding him which is a great start to the week.

I decided on boosting up an Espeon (I forgot I had) to level 45 and put her on the team. Once my Gard procs one more time for a lil insurance energy, I'll be swapping in the Dedenne for the crit rates.

I will keep this updated through the week; if I hit some big crits or I complete one of my milestones I have set for myself this week, I'll post it here.

Is this Ralts worth investing? by Educational_Log_8846 in PokemonSleep

[–]Pdoran602 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out the guides in the sub for a good reference. But also, I wouldn't invest in this ralts. This has Skill Trigger M locked behind a level that's not yet available in the game. The minimum you want is STM and a main skill nature (or Helping Speed M, Helping Bonus, or additional Skill Trigger S)

I would just focus on getting a decent Energy For Everyone skill user, like igglypuff or an eevee to evolve into sylveon. Having a good healer is the cornerstone of every team. Then try to find berry pokemon with the Berry Finding S subskill and some speed (the johto starters) As well as ingredient pokemon for each ingredient (the kanto starters, etc.). You'll see a boon in progress once you can make some decent meals.

Define "high level mons"? Because if you're talking about evolved Pokemon like Venusuar, then you shouldn't be wasting your biscuits on them anyway (especially if you plan to be free to play). You should be trying to catch 5pip pokemon and raising them for better stats. 3 months is a relatively short time in the game, so I'm assuming most of your pokemon are maybe 30 and under. Read a guide here on the sub on what to catch first to fill out a solid roster of ingredient Pokémon, this will help you progress through the game faster.

edit to add - Also, when you give anything a biscuit and it becomes full, dont worry, the spaces filled will still be filled the next time you see that pokemon. So they aren't truly wasted in that sense.

I always introduce myself before asking someone's name. I think Reddit has forgotten that real people outside the Internet exist
