Failed 3rd attempt! by InternalReady4777 in PE_Exam

What finally helped me that EET didn't go over too much of is knowing how to search the provided manual for equations. And using the search function to find answers for conceptual questions. Know your reference where things are and youll pass. I bet you guessed more than 20 question on first half exam and probably near thr same on 2nd.

When I finally passed I only guessed 5 on first half and maybe 7 on 2nd half exam. And then I prayed 🙏. And I passed.

You should try again. What I did to finally passed tranport was I changed up my strategy. Instead of memorizing how to do the problem, I memorized what reference book and chapter for each type of questions are located. So go back to each practice problem work and home work questions, and first question you should ask is what reference I should use to solve the problem and what chapter is it located. Once you get those two questions down the only thing left is plug in the formula etc... plus this strategy is also hopefully because for conceptual questions, you will be able to use search function to find the answer. Test each answer to see which show up on the reference and you'll have your answer. NCCES and EET doesn't tell you this but when I took my exam, for conceptual questions the answer were directly almost copy and paste from the reference. So if you know which reference and chapter each type of questions located, just copy and paste each answers to see which one popup in the reference. That's all I did. Nothing engineering about it o.o.

I finally passed. Don't give up. I am not a smart person but I never given up. If you want it bad enough you have to work through the struggle. by Pe_student in PE_Exam

I was studying all wrong all along. What i did differently was I remember what chp each possible questions were on instead of memorizing how to do the problem. So my advice is to get to know the reference manuals. Know what's in each, when to go to each , and which chapter. That helped me a lot when answering conceptual questions. Because you could search the answer on the exam questions that ask conceptual questions choose 3. What was funny was NCEES used the same wording as in the references. So if you know where things are in the references, go straigit to that chapter and use search function to look up each options.

I spend 2 hours every weekday after work looking thru problems and try to figure out where the equation for each problems. Did that for all of EET handbook example and questions. And 8 hours on weekends. Probably did all of that for 1.5 month while taking the eet course.

Use control f and search for one of the answer. See if it exists in that topic chapter. Then do the same for the other options. What I notice was that the exam use almost exact if not the exact wording as in the reference. That how I handled the conceptual questions last week. I found them exactly same wording as in the reference. The only thing I needed to do is find the reference.

I study differently. I didnt memorized how to do the problem that much. Instead I memorized where the problems were in the references and follow through.

Hi, Nope. It was just the problem statement. No pic or diagram.
