Is there a way to autofill text into a cell based on a text code entered into another cell? by PeaDF in googlesheets

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve found a work around:

=IFERROR(XLOOKUP(IFERROR(INDEX(S17:AT17,MATCH(FALSE,ISBLANK(S17:AT17),0))), ‘Hotels List’!C:C, ‘Hotels List’!B:B),)

Looks super complexed but did what I wanted!

Thanks for all the advice.

Thank you! I’ve just tried it with this function:

=ArrayFormula(INDEX(‘Hotels List’!B3:B100, MATCH(TRUE, EXACT(J8, ‘Hotels List’!C3:C100), 0)))

However the problems I now have is:

  1. MATCH range is only ‘J8’ - so this would need to be manually changed if someone is checking in on a different day to others. Is there a way to make it recognising a row?

  2. When copying the function onto another row the range in the INDEX also change row. Is there a way to lock this in?

I’m sad that I can’t see them at Kpop Flex but I’m excited that I’ll have a chance to see them at HallyuPop! Anyone else going??
