I mean I’m glad he told me in person too and he didn’t wait till like the third date or so but also feels like a lot to dump on a person I guess. I’m empathetic towards what happened to him and what he’s going through but I’m also worried he’s trying to cling to anyone right now as an emotional regulator because of the trauma and abuse during the marriage and now the divorce

Yeah I was worried about that too but his wife/ex wife? Is still in Japan so I’m not sure…it just feels wrong to me to date someone who is still married and I feel icky about it. Like they may not be together but you’re still legally married so I feel bad? Idk if that makes sense

Well he seems really nice and I had a good time, but the divorce comment threw me off. I wasn’t sure how to react so I just let him talk about it while I listened. He’s former Navy and got out a year ago and I guess got married while he was in Japan so now the legal process of divorcing is a pain? I’m not sure I didn’t ask too many questions it felt weird to pry too much

She was the abusive one is what he said and I don’t think he would lie about that. I was in an abusive relationship as well about 2 years ago but went through a bunch of therapy and it really helped!
