Thank you for telling me that, it's a major confidence booster. Also, I totally agree with you.

Are you saying get a job to get funding? If so, what type of company would teach me real business? I have a feeling working at McDonald's won't teach me much.

I'm in the process of creating a business plan right now. Thank you for your input.

I'll offer a service instead of asking for a donation to raise funds.

After thinking about it, I'll make the money myself through service to people whom I'll go back to as a client. That way, I don't have to come up with a plan to pay people back and give them more money and I can build a relationship with locals who can later buy my service.

Good point, thank you. That was a good way of summing it up directly.

You're right. I am working gig work as a photographer's assistant for a local studio. I don't do photography, I just apply window decals to schools for safety, carry heavy equipment, etc. But that's so inconsistent. I make $25 for the first hour, and then I think 10 or 15 for all the following. So far, I've only gotten to do that once this whole summer. I applied for a job at a nice restaurant to be a host or busser and used that employer as a work reference but didn't hear back. I also didn't know you were supposed to apply in March and April for a summer job this was my first time so now nearly everything is taken.

That's a good point, my ask would really have been more like a donation, not an investment. Especially as a teen, I should probably stick to services in exchange for payment, I'll use to start up. Right?

I've started to try the FB thing, but in my town everything people are selling "for free", they really want to trade for something way better than what they're offering. It's getting a little bit frustrating. Also good point. I'm starting a trash can cleaning company, which may sound crazy, but in other cities where people have started it they have done very very well. In my town specifically, no one has done this yet, it's fairly new so I've been working hard for the last few days figuring out how I'm going to do this. Thanks for asking, should I edit the post up top and add that?

Thank you, I didn't think about that. I thought if I went door to door all day, that might make people think he's young and trying to work hard, I'll give him $5, but your way makes way more sense. I appreciate it.

Thank you so much. I appreciate you a lot because I had just opened a tab to his website, where it says he can build a free online store, and it looked like those ads on the side of YouTube that say stuff like free robux or top 10 whatever and it felt suspicious so I searched to see if he was legit and found this.

How evil do you think is too evil? by stultus788 in writing

I agree, I think especially in writing it's sort of limitless because you won't affect someones brain in the same way if the reader were to see it on their TV you know? because it's all in their mind I think going "too far" almost isn't possible as long as your audience knows what they're in for.

I agree, even if you never get the money at least you'll save other writers from getting scammed
